Braaitime Biltong - South African Seasoned Dried Beef Jerky Sliced - Spicy Peri Peri, 16oz

I love this flavor! No sweet only heat! The shake is super tasty and you can use it like chewing tobacco( suck on the flavor for a long time). The strips are great flavored chunks of protein. This is a product of flavor and texture. It’s not for the weak of heart and for that reason I love it. Buyer beware: spicy, chewy, dried meat. Exactly what I wanted, exactly what I got!

It is very very saulty and the package got more powder than the meat. I bought it twice but the salt is way to much and it ruines the biltong flavor.

First, if you expect this to have the taste and texture of traditional American style jerky, you won't like it. If you are looking for jerky the way the American pioneers made it, you'll love it. It's made very simply. Salt, pepper, spices and dried. No sugar, no nitrates. Yes, it's a little tough and you have to chew it.My Dad used to make this very style of jerky back in the 60's. He learned it from his father who was a true pioneer in Arizona. While my Dad's recipe is a little different, it called for boiling the meat in heavily salted and peppered water, the taste is almost identical.Some reviewers have complained that "jerky dust" is common in the bag. Yes, there is some jerky dust. Trust me, that jerky dust is great sprinkled on a salad!

Decent flavor but having eaten true South African biltong in South Africa, this version is too dry. Decent overall but too expensive for the dryness.

The biltong we bought from them 2 years ago was much better. What happened? Lots of recent complaints. This was terrible. Extremely dry, nothing like South African biltong. More like jerky but for a much higher price. Bag was also filled with meat powder. Won't buy from this company again.

A good level of spicy heat and good dry biltong product. Very tasty.

If it is made to remind you of an authentic South African biltong, it has failed. Or rather, for South Africa this would be a sort of really cheap and low-grade biltong most appropriate for cooking. Adding this product to omelette or pancake mix or savory pastries can make sense and be fine. The biltong slices are too thin and too few, the bulk of the packet consisting of crumbs and fine biltong dust. Cannot be eaten as a delicacy on its own, with your favorite beer or wine. The flavor is okayish, spicy enough, but a bit too salty. Will definitely stay away from this brand in the future.

This stuff us AMAZING! The peri peri is best, but I like spicy stuff. If you don’t like heat don’t buy. For the normal foodies ... YUM
