Saved from a Skunk!
This thing is worth its weight in gold. We had a skunk under the house tearing things up and spraying... nightmare! My tips are:1. Secure the tarp well -otherwise the animal will shake it off (making the end phase much more difficult)2. Place it right at the entrance/exit of the house. He didn't go for it when it was 5 feet away.3. Block off other entrances/exits to the area (if you can). For me, it was taking away his other night feeding options. Luckily, mine was the house wall and a fence, so pretty easy to do that. Plus - if you don't, you will likely capture neighborhood cats. (We caught two of the them before we blocked it off). The other benefits are skunks are pretty nearsighted, so make it obvious for the critter...4. The successful bait was peanut butter and honey mixture (in a paper coffee filter).5. If you cover the cage with extra plastic tarps - you can then move the cage without him seeing you and our guy did not spray. We sealed up the opening in the house and were able to release him by opening the door with gloves on afterwards, about 25 yards away and he scurried out into the night. (Our animal control people said this was the recommended solution.)Good luck! You can do this... Why pay hundreds of $$$'s for a company to do this...?!

Perfect for TNR and relocating pests
I bought this trap to catch a mama cat and her 4 kittens. The kittens were young enough to be adopted but mama was too feral and so we TNR’d her. I now feed her on my back porch which is why I have also had to use the trap to rehome 3 opossums and 3 raccoons who kept eating her food and scaring her away.Trap was sturdy enough for cats and opossums. I had to fortify it though for raccoons who can do a real number on a trap. I had one get out the release door so I had to use pipe cleaners to fully tie that exit off. That did the trick. However raccoon hands can get through the trap sides to get at the food without going in the trap. I bought a trap cover which solves that issue but if the raccoon is in the trap longer than 30 minutes they can tear the covers to shreds while trying to claw their way out. Learning curve for sure but the mama cat is worth the hassle.

Not Racoon Proof
Did great for possums. Caught 2 the first two nights. Cover was great. However, the 3rd night it trapped the coon. The critter absolutely destroyed the cover tearing it into in to shreds. Quick loss of my $15 on that. Wonder if I can get my money back? I can send the shreds back as proof if needed. Remember, the advertisement states it can handle racoons.

cage cover for trap
I used the trap right away and it was easy to slip over cage. Now I can trap even if it is raining and it has just stopped raining when I put the cover on the trap. It worked the animal went right into the cage and I immediately took it to the animal rehabers. I did purchase another trap and cover to cover it too. The city tore down a burned out apartment complex and the rats, raccoon and possums have overrun the city.

Not durable
My cat had gotten out and as a result, I was setting up traps in my backyard. The 2nd night of using this, I caught an opossum that was NOT happy about being trapped. In the 30 or so minutes he was in the trap, he managed to completely shred the daylights out of this cover. The opossum somehow managed to pull the cover through the gaps in the trap and obliterate this thing. I wish I hadn't thrown it out so I could attach a pictureI would still buy again, as it did good at keeping the inside of the traps dry and covered but maybe don't use if the animals in your area are angry opossums
