Brooks Unisex Base Hat

I have a couple of these for my running, I wear these as a sweat band more than a sun hat. I swear a lot and these have a great capacity and helps for it to evaporate off as well.

This hat fits my larger head. It cradles the skull and keep my medium length hair from bouncing in my face. It is ventilated well and stays relatively cool. The strap is easily adjustable and locks down the hat securely on my head.The brim is pretty stiff so you can wash your sweat soaked hat without it losing its shape. However, it also doesn’t adjust very much which can mean I have a hard time getting it pulled low on my face with a pair of sunglasses. Sun protection is adequate otherwise, it will keep the sun out of your eyes.I also don’t find this is the kind of hat you would want to wear outside of running as it’s rather thin and not very stylish.Overall though, it’s a solid hat that has held up to everything I’ve put it through so far.

Interestingly, this is the first cap I’ve had that could go over the tops of my ears. Fits oddly large and I have a medium/large head. I have an UnderArmour running cap that fits smaller; sits maybe a finger width of space above my ears.

Only thing that is not perfect for me is that my hat size is such that the remaining length of the adjustable strap in back, when adjusted to my head, is just shy of being long enough to tuck back into the band of the hat so it flaps loose. If the strap were another inch longer it would be perfect.
