The first thing I noticed is that the popping bags are slightly moist. This popcorn had a fair amount of palm oil. It reminds me of movie theater popcorn in that sense, and it smells and tastes like it. It is definitely spiced and thus more interesting than plain popcorn, but I can’t say it tasted garlicky to me or that it was hot enough to warrant the name. If you want something crazy hot to send to your chili-head pal as a gag gift, this is not it. I still found it tasty and could have easily eaten all of it in one sitting. It was not the spice level that kept me from doing so but the thought of all the oil. If movie theater popcorn with a medium hot spice blend shaken in it sounds good to you, I suspect you would like this.

The popcorn tasted stale even though I had freshly popped it. There is a weird tart after taste, and no hint of garlic flavor. Bad purchase on my part

The popcorn had no heat, or flavor. It tasted like burnt popcorn that was sprayed with a 10 yr old can of vegetable spray. Not very happy.

Family did not care for this. Even didn’t taste good! Hard for kernels to pop.
