Star Wars, they way it should always be
*WARNING! Some spoilers ahead!*While I'm an avid fan of Star Wars, at one point I became quite annoyed with many of new books. They've been typical Hollywood junk, with less orientation to characters but more to action, action, action. Story was stretched thin and pale, it was a torture to read.On the other hand, Legacy comics and some games (KotOR anyone?) have been an amazing experience. But to be honest, I always remembered old b/w comics that have been published in my country decades ago and wondered if there's ever going to be something like that.Well, here it is. A nice, short anthology of some really good stories. I adore the fact that characters are much deeper and interesting than in many books and even movies. These stories do twist SW universe a bit (can Clone Troopers grow old?) but each story is different and interesting in it's own way. You'd be surprised how close you will feel to some of the SW characters after reading this book.Sincerely recommended!

Excellent collection
I love the omnibus collections. They are a cheap way to read star wars stories printed long ago, in a very good quality. If you want to start collecting them (I am doing it now), start for Tales of the Jedi, wich are stories of the first jedi, millenia before the battle of Yavin, the point in star wars history that serves as a reference. Excellent collection, very complete, and still in process.

Weird collection
The stories are interesting an well drawn (in a very modern style, which suits my liking), but for some reason the timeline is "shattered": after reading 1/2 of the stories, you may want to switch to "Other Sons of Tatooine" to read about stuff that you will otherwise see in flashback in the last 3 stories of this volume.Even weirder, the first story takes place right after the second and I do not understand why they were collected in this order. Despite all of this, the Ahakista Gambit is a very strange, interesting, story, whit some insights into "Darksider" (Dark Jedi chased by the empire) and a hint of intelligence wars, something never directly addressed in the canon (with the exception of Mon Mothma's "many bothan died"A nice read, overall
