This product is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm sure you all have experiences this. You get something to put up in your shower that relies on a suction cup to adhere itself. It works great for the first week, month, 2 months, but then it starts to fall. Randomly in the night, crash! You re-adhere the item. and a week later, crash! Again you re-adhere it. This time you make sure you clean the surface well. Despite your efforts a day later, CRASH. #$%#&^%%#@ You are so angry!I've been there, but not again. This item uses a flat cup. As you tighten the device, it pulls on the inside of the cup and creates the suction. I am confident that this device is not coming down, until I want it to. I didn't quite get it, when i was setting it up. As I tighted it up, the lightbulb lit. Aha! This is exactly what I'm looking for!You won't be disappointed!

$13 seems a bit pricy for a soap dish, BUT having installed this and used it for a few days, I'd say its worth it and would buy another one if needed. The assembly direction illustrations were a little confusing for me at first - I thought I was missing a third assembly piece that looked like a separate hook you screw into the suction cup cap, but you just place the back of the dish into the indentation and screw the cap back on. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the dish flips up vertically over the cap as well if you want to store it like that when you're not using it. This suction cup is nice because you use the lid to tighten the suction level after pressing it onto the surface. You dont need to wet it or smush it around like the cheap clear suction cups. It feels like it'd stay up there forever, it's ridiculously sturdy and strong!

Buyer beware! After carefully and objectively reading several reviews, I believed I had made an intelligent choice in pinpointing a quality product. I heeded the reviewer caveats on proper installation as well as explicitly followed the manufacturer's installation instructions. I spent ample time ensuring the surface was absolutely clean and without grit, grime, film, etc. After thoroughly cleaning and rinsing the shower stall surface, I then used the provided cleaning wipe and even a hair dryer to dry the surface to ensure there wasn't even a speck of lint. This is a standard fiberglass shower that goes into many new construction homes. Sadly, this has proved to be just another shoddy product/waste of my time and money and is actually *worse* than the one I previously owned. I am a degreed professional in a technical field and yet, for some reason, I cannot seem to get this product to work correctly. My photo shows where it has ended up twice in two days--at the bottom of my tub. I'm so frustrated that I wish I could give this product negative stars.

This seems to be a well made item, and the mechanism to tighten it to the wall is easy to use.However, I should have listened to the other negative reviews, since it has a fatal flaw -- it won't stay attached to our ceramic tile wall for more than a few hours! I cleaned the tile with three different cleaners, and it made no difference. The soap dish seems to be firmly attached at first, but always falls off a few hours later.I contacted the seller about the problem, but they just repeated the same tips that came with the instructions, which I had already tried. So while I appreciate that they responded quickly, the problem appears to be in the design of the product.Note: Our tile walls are normal glazed ceramic tiles, which are smooth and non-porous.

I bought this soap dish to have in the shower area where no bending would be necessary in order to pick up a bar of soap (i.e., hung it on the shower stall wall, underneath the shower head). This was very easy to install. Initially, the soap dish's suction cup worked. However, after several days the whole thing fell into the bathtub. I tried twice to get this to work, each time insuring the surface was clean, dry, and with no residue left behind. I did not use the adhesive piece included as I did not want this to be a permanently mounted fixture in the shower area.

I love this soap dish! My entire bathroom is finished in tile, so added extra fixtures is a little tricky. My tile has a flat surface that is semi shiny (not matte, not glossy, just in between). The soap dish arrived secured in a box with easy to follow instructions. I did not have any issues installing the soap dish on my shower wall. The total installment only took a couple of minutes.Since installation, the soap dish has not budged. It has been sprayed with water repeatedly through many showers and still remains secured to my wall. The finish matched my oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my bathroom, too.The overall size of the dish accommodates various size soap bars, including handmade.After I made my purchase, the customer service team was kind enough to send an email that offered even MORE detailed instructions, as well as tips and troubleshooting.I'm very happy with this soap dish and look forward to exploring more products in this series.

I'm not sure about what surfaces other people are putting their soap dish on or whether the product that they got was defective. My soap dish arrived in good condition, and luckily I already had practice installing their corner shower caddy suction organizer. My shower has porcelain tiles so they clean easily. The key for me was to make sure the cup lay flat against the tile before I finished turning the knob to lock the seal. I've even changed the position of the cup a few times without any problems. Would buy again it needed.

I was trying to find an alternative to OXO products and I was so happy to have found this alternative. The description is right on. It is truly matte black and it seems to be of good materials that won't rust. I have had it next to the shower head so out of direct water but it hasn't shown any signs of wear. I will update if things change.

This soap holder is great! In researching soap dishes, I wanted something that did not require adhesives or drilling, and this one fit our requirements.The suction cup is very strong and seems to be holding up well. Quality-wise, the dish is metal, but the parts around the suction cup and dial are plastic with a metal-like coating. If anything deteriorates in a few years, I'd suspect it to be that part.If you order it, when it arrives, be sure to look at the picture of the finished product to help you assemble it. It's a bit embarrassing, but it took me a bit longer than it should have. You have to untwist the knob to separate it from the suction cup part, then put the soap dish handle bar inside a divot on the suction cup part. Then you screw the dial back over it to provide retention. It makes sense after-the-fact, but the enclosed instructions could have been slightly clearer.

I want to start off by saying that this product is wonderful. Originally bought it in January of 2018 to have a soap holder in the shower (since a regular one cannot be installed) and it works wonderfully. Its extremely sturdy and durable, it hasn't loosened up at all and it was the easiest thing to install in the shower.Due to a personal injury, I decided to buy a second one in October of 2018. The first one was set at a regular height so others can utilize it at a normal height. The second one I installed at a much lower height on a different wall for ease of access when I use a shower bench to wash. This too was easy to install and works perfectly without complaint.Now I dont know if Im going to be whining about this part, if its a "First World Problems" issue, but the price difference I saw was quite significant. Ill be honest, I dont remember if the 1st one was on sale and the 2nd was regular price, but I find for a shower holder it is a tad bit pricy. The first one costed me $17.97 CAD, and the second one costed me $24.99 CAD (a $7.02) difference.To me, this is significant for this type of product. If however, you are ok with spending $25 on a soap holder, then by all means get this product. It is very sturdy and the quality is amazing. Im just not crazy about spending $25 on somthing that I could probably find much cheaper at the store for the same quality. Again, Im probably whining about this sort of thing, but it is the only drawback on the product.Other than that, do not hesitate to buy this soap holder. It has worked wonders for me and my family, it more than serves its purpose, it looks stylish and modern, and its durable.

This product arrived on time, no damage to packaging. Before it got here, the seller had emailed me with a list of tips to try in case I was having any trouble getting it to stick. Seller followed up with another email a few days after it arrived but I hadn't had time to install it. When I did, it was easy, peasy...just as discribed and it works and looks great. Would buy more of these gecko products without any hesitation.

I was a bit skeptical before I purchased this project after having seen such a product in local dollar stores. I must say this product is really good, it is as shown on amazon and was delivered promptly with no parts missing. Instructions were pretty clear and installation was fairly easy. My shower tiles are rough so had to use the provided plastic adhesive and the soap try stands strong. Certainly a recommendation from my end.

Works really well. I was looking for something low key and small and this does the trick. It has stayed stuck on our glass wall of the shower for months without any readjustment or tightening. I had to reinstall it yesterday but only because I bumped into it. Otherwise this is perfect and looks nice and holds remarkably well
