Good quality video
Expensive but worth it

Great!
It's a really good camera. It has its own video transmitting tablet which works flawlessly out of the box. All the negative comments are about the internet 3 months free trial cloud service that works through the app. There is a slight delay but doesn't bother me. If I need instant uninterrupted video I use the device that comes with the camera that doesn't use internet to transmit the video. The battery is good too. Haven't recharged yet.

Monitor is horrible
Sadly, this product doesn’t last long and always needs to be plugged in. It will wake you up if it is not. The camera daily blacks out with a red line through it for no apparent reason. It doesn’t alert you enough when baby is crying, etc. the temperature it reads is not the actual temperature in the baby’s room. Lastly, when plugged in the screen does not turn off. And now the monitor won’t even work. It’s fully charged but won’t turn on. This is truly a waste of money and will be will getting another brand at this point. Advise others to not waste their time and money on this product.

Does the job Monitor is a great addition to the cell phone app.
This does everything claimed in a quality package. Very much worth the cost.

Good at home camera
Overall, this is a rather good baby monitor. We have had it for over a year now and works pretty well. The connectivity is good, however, the picture can get grainy at times. The night vision and sound are both very good and a highlight. The camera can span the room and move when you manually controll it, which is nice, and you can also connect to your phone. Overall good money value.

Vaguely anthropomorphic looks, good quality wifi and internet monitoring...
Motorola's baby monitors are not usually found at the top of lists of "Best Baby Monitors", but they're often somewhere lower on those lists and user reviews are fairly favorable. I don't know if these are a Lenovo product (Lenovo bought the Motorola brand of cellular phones a number of years ago) or still made by the American manufacturer, but Motorola baby monitors have been around for some time now. Motorola makes two basic forms of video monitors. One type connects solely to a handheld unit via 2.4Ghz radio. It's not wifi enabled. It's a basic unit with fairly long range usable only when both you and your baby are at home. The other type connects both to a handheld screen AND, via wifi to your phone. This type can monitor your baby both when you're at home and, via the app and internet, when you're away from home. This is one of Motorola's wifi models which connects both to a handheld receiver screen and to your phone via the internet. The camera and LCD video screen monitor are mid-level quality for Motorola's Connect wifi models. The selling point of this system is its motorized pan and tilt and vaguely person-like look. Motorized pan, tilt and zoom allow you to direct the camera toward other points by remotely moving the camera's direction electronically and physically rather than just digitally. Wirecutter, the review site, said it disliked Motorola's wifi baby monitor the least of all the wifi+handheld LCD monitor units it tested, but it didn't give any wifi unit a glowing review. However, when Wirecutter reviewed baby monitors Motorola was still using its Hubble app for phone connectivity--an app I've not used--and reviewers say that the new app used by this system is far superior to the old Hubble app. OK, a few noteworthy features with differentiation between this and less expensive models in parentheses: 1) Zoom is said to be motorized. I'm not sure if this is so because I can't see movement in the lens. Regardless, it has an effective zoom function. 2) Pan and tilt are motorized (vs digital pan and tilt on other models). 3) 1080p resolution camera (vs 720p resolution on lesser Motorola systems). 4) 5-inch lcd screen in monitor is clear with good color and visibility with 480x272 resolution (Higher 1080p resolution feed from camera is only available on your phone via the app in this system. This handheld video receiver is larger than some cheaper Motorola displays that are only. 4.3-inches, but is also non-touch screen and not 1080p as in Motorlola's best video monitors.). 5) Typical additional abiilities include: night view, 2-way intercom, room-temp monitoring, lullabies. 6) Camera mount included. Can work with a magnetic wall mount. 7) In-home monitor uses 2.4GHz radio 8) Motorola "Nursery" app available for IOS and Android. This is a fairly fancy video monitor system, capable for in-home use and able to work over the internet with your phone.
