One Piece Mason Jar Lids 6 Pieces, Silver

I use Mason jars for everything. I LOVE these piece lids. They fit all the different sizes, and brands, I have. They make a great seal. Thank you

I have Ball® jars and made mint jelly today. I had one jar that wouldn't fit in the canner so I used this lid and put it one the jar so I don't waste a canning lid. The lids are not stiff, solid lids like say on a jar of pickles but more like a canning ring and lid. They are coated but in time I assume they will rust just like the canning rings do. Even so, the great thing is it screws on the jar good and I don't have to play with a 2 piece top (and waste a lid) for jelly that I have in the refrigerator that will be opened and closed several times before it is gone. I do not believe these are approved for canning with, there is nothing on the box saying they are safe for canning. I think these are only for when you open something and don't use it all, you can use these instead of keeping the two piece top on.

Since I'm conscious of micro-plastics, I recently decided to switch from plastic leftover food containers to glass Mason jars. But since I'm also inherently lazy, I didn't want to have separate the jar lids and bands, as they tend to get lost and/or require 2 separate washings. So, I purchased the Sunrise 1-piece jar lids. They're just like a traditional metal jar band and lid, except that they are one whole piece. They screw on easily, with no irritating drifting-into-the-wrong- groove and good sealability. They're easy to store in one plastic ziplock instead of two. I haven't had them long enough to judge whether they are rust resistant, but I've run them through the dishwasher several times and they have no residue on them whatsoever. I set one jar in the fridge upside-down overnight, to see if they were leak-resistant. They are. They were a little costlier than traditional separate bands and lids, so you pay for the extra convenience, but to me the small increase is worth the convenience and easy storage they offer.

Fit perfectly and wash in the DW and regular sink nicely.

These are great one-piece lids to take the place of the old-fashioned two-piece lids-and-rings. I use the Mason Jars to hold solvents and these rings have a rubber ring built-in to provide an air-tight seal. I have not used these lids for any canning projects which require heat to seal the jars for safety, so I can't tell how these would work for that type of use. But for just using the Mason Jars to hold liquids these work very well.

We liked the first ones so much ordered more. These lids are much easier to use than seal type. I don’t think you can use for canning but very practical for storing honey and other food stuffs. They seal tight, are durable and are easy to clean.
