Made in the USA and easy to put up. Plastic pegs will last as long at the shutters will look decent. I just used each old shutter as a template to drill holes in each one, in case the holes were not originally predrilled.

I suppose they might be paintable with some work. I tried using Behr exterior stain and primer. However, it just constantly peels off. Not necessarily a problem with these. They seem to look good and as though they would hold up well. However, I wouldn't get them with the idea of painting them unless you want to do a lot more prep work.

Ease of installation and durability

I had to replace a pair of vinyl shutters that the previous homeowner melted with his BBQ pit. These were a great match to the shutters on the rest of the house which were from a different manufacturer. So I did have to drill new holes and set anchors in the brick wall, but that was not a big deal. They look great!

These were easy to install and came already painted. Matched up nice. This was a much easier and cost effective option then trying to repair and repaint the wood ones that we had before.
