Bird Feeder Pole Set with Squirrel Baffle & Twister Ground Socket (3 Arm)

This pole is an attractive and effective mount that is well made and easy to install. We enjoy watching a variety of birds come and go, but half the fun is watching the squirrels try to find get a free meal. The seasoned veterans give up, but there are always some new kids on the block who think they can defeat the baffle. After a year in service we haven’t seen any squirrel even come close to winning the prize. My only complaint is failings in the paint job, especially on the portion that goes into the ground. It was rusting after only six months, so I coated it with some black enamel paint that’s suitable for rusty metal. A few other small spots were rusting so I coated them as well. After 6 months the touch up paint is doing fine. Another potential issue is that the interconnecting poles are designed in what I consider “reverse order.” The poles connect with a plug and socket format, with the slightly smaller diameter plug pole fitting into a wider diameter socket pole. The arrangement has the socket portion on the lower connection, with the plug inserting from above. This allows water to collect at the joint, and potentially get into the joint. This may be a rust issue in the future. If the socket portion was on the upper pole the water would not be a concern. I put some heavy duty black tape on the connections so that water can’t get in or into the joint. Works well so far.

Previously reviewed after 1st year as this product was the first to absolutely work and no squirrel problems at all. Watch several get thwarted and give up. Glad to say after 2 years the exact same result and have never had a squirrel make it to the feeders! Absolutely a great product that actually works!!! After using this for 10 months can report that this pole/squirrel blocker absolutely worked as not a single squirrel could reach my feeders. This is the first squirrel prove device that did indeed work as I watched numerous attempts all defeated. It is great to have bird feeders last the season without damage from squirrels and the bird feed be eaten by its intended group. The black finish has withstood numerous storms and sun and still looks great. This is a fantastic product that works as advertised.

Outstanding and very sturdy. Carefully packaged for shipping. Easy to install and put together. I only use two of the four stations for now and the load is off balance with an old four tube feeder I had on one side with a suet block on the other side but this pole doesn’t complain, and doesn’t bend or sway. Winds don’t bother it. You get what you pay for. I’ll be adding other stations later and am very happy with it. The squirrel baffle works but the critters now leap onto the top of the pole from the necessary nearby bush the birds use for shelter. Separate problem and I’ll be shopping for a top crown cover ... wily squirrels will beat that too. It is tall. But I wanted tall. Grow taller or get a ladder. It does what it is supposed to do, very well.

The squirrels were driving me nuts. I read a lot of reviews and looked at many pole options and saw videos of some, including this one, where squirrels somehow circumvented it. I was a little leery, but pulled the trigger on this one, in part because it looked like easy assembly (very few screws) and only two arms so not too busy looking. It was a cinch to put up, very sturdy, it has been a week and not one squirrel has been able to get up and the bird feeder isn’t empty every day as it was before from the thieves.

This is, indeed, a very tall, very sturdy hook. Heavy feeders haven't impacted it, it was easy to assemble & we love the screw-in installation. We put it together exactly as the instructions suggest. However, an animal has been able to get above the baffle & has been decimating our birdseed. Note that it is not near a fence; crawling up & over the baffle is the only way up, & there are muddy footprints to prove it. (We've not yet identified the animal other than that it is small & black; we may have to install a game camera.) I'm sure it will work for some folks who have less-crafty critters around, but not for us. Also, we're not bothered by the fact that the wind ~ or a critter ~ will turn the hook around so that it can face a different direction; that might bother some folks tho.

These poles are very sturdy. They are easy to assemble and install and they come with an auger to secure them into the ground. I have very rocky soil and have a hard time with that but if you have a nice lawn it works great. It's the only pole and baffle I've found that keep out the squirrels and raccoons. I've tried many types and all of them failed until this type. I had one of these that had peeling of the coating on the baffle but I've used other brands of poles with coating that did the same thing and this one lasted a lot longer. I recommend it.

We have a tight bird-feeding area which is susceptible to major incursions from squirrels. Not so with this wonderful product. Our littlest birds can eat in safety and hassle-free. Not shown is a nearby fence and the lilac bush is a great launching pad for any squirrel. No problem now for two feeding seasons (year-round). Excellent. 10/10

This is a repeat order on this brand pole, it is the best I've found so far and I have bought a few of them. The baffle keeps out the squirrels and the racoons. I had bought a 4 arm one last year, but I had to get another 2 arm one for my Humming bird feeders. I had no idea that racoons drink that stuff. I put it in the ground and checked this morning and they couldn't get through the baffle to get to my feeder. I would highly recomend this pole to anyone. It is a little high in price, but it is worth it. It works!
