UPDATE.... For two years, I have tried to control the gunk in my small dog’s ears, but have been unsuccessful. The vet said this was not at the ear infection stage, but would get there without treatment. She then suggested purchasing medication from her for an unreasonable amount of money. Each day, I would clean her ears, only to find more gunk. I tried other products, but none worked.I then tried SEAMUS Optic Ear Solution. I can’t tell you what a miracle this product is!!! It took about a month of weekly application (although you can use it daily) to completely remove the ear matter.As a test, I did not use the product for two months and her ears are still extremely clean. We got this because our dogs go swimming in our pond every day and we have had problems with ear infections. Now, we squirt this on cotton pads and gush them around in our dogs ears after swimming and it has been working well to prevent infections. We tried squirting it directly into the ear but the dogs objected strenuously, so the liquid on cotton pads works well without the dogs having fits. In fact, they seem to like it and think we are just rubbing their ears.The scent is fresh and not at all objectionable, which is good since we really don't need another strong scent on top of wet dog.The company seems very good to work with. They even sent us a handwritten note of thanks after our purchase. That is almost unheard of today, and I really appreciated it.

I was running low on my regular ear cleaner. So I ordered Seamus ear solution, and a few other brands to hold me over, till my next grooming order. This is by far the best ear cleaner I have ever used. I even had a client call me and ask what I did different. The only thing different was the ear cleaner. Love everything about it. The scent, how gentle & effective it is. So of course I had to try his shampoo. Just as good. Nice scent. Gentle, concentrated, a little goes a long way, also rinses effortlessly, which is important, because I always rinse till there are no suds to be seen. Now if I could only talk him into creating a shampoo, with the cucumber melon scent...

I have an American Pit Bull with floppy ears and a long tail. Over the course of biannual ear infections and bloody tail marks covering most of my walls (due to excessive wagging!) I've come to understand why some dogs have their ears and tails trimmed. Ear infections are a real problem for many dogs, because moisture gets trapped beneath those flaps.My dog is eight and has been regularly working at his ears every two - three months over those eight years. He gets steroids, but those shots can be expensive and harmful, so I like to stretch out the time between shots as much as possible.Matter of factly, the Seamus Otic Solution works really well. I give my dog a squirt in each ear, pin some cotton swabs over his ears, wait, and then let him shake. I give the dog a q-tip cleaning afterwards, and tend to get grime that would not appear in a dry ear.I've only had to use Seamus's solution a few times. But, I seemed to get an extra 30 days or so between my dog's steroid shot. This hasn't been a miracle bottle, but it is no snake oil. One bottle has probably helped me extend the time between vet times by 30 days, which adds up.

This stuff smells so so awful. The melon scent is disgusting. It did clear out a lot of debris from my dogs ears, but he still had an ear infection requiring vet care after over a week of use. It may help a little, but will not clear up an already present infection. All in all we are buying another product as this doesn’t seem like it’ll do the trick to prevent further infections.

If you are reading this review is because you are as discouraged as I was 3 days ago. My Beautiful Rottweiler was having issues with her right ear. She sleeps next to my bed and all night long she was shaking her head so hard it was waking me up. I was so sad and felt powerless. I read like 100 reviews, googled like 78 times solutions and tried the vinegar, witch hazel,Green tea( the most expensive there is) but nothing work like this product! The 1st day nothing changed, the second day.... improvement...but today I am ecstatic her right ear is pink again not brownish and it smells wonderful! I did not take pictures of BEFORE because I bought the product with very little faith.I did the cleaning at night, maybe that help maybe not but it did work!I will keep applying everyday for a week and then I will stop. I am so happy for my dog, I can't imagine the discomfort of having ear issues for so long.....

I have tried just about every natural and vet-prescribed solution for my dog's consistently infection-ridden, smelly ears. Day in and day out of cleaning the ear canal and outer ear with various products yet she would still shake her head and scratch. There was a consistent yeast smell coming from her ears and nothing I tried abated the issue. Now I clean her ears with the solution a couple of times a week for maintenance. She feels much better and the head shaking and incessant scratching have ceased.
