Ran 48 hours straight no problems
Woke up lithium golf cart batteries running this c40 continuous for 4 days. Also charged 72v golf carts for past year. Power cord is too thin and heats up so please replace it for high wattage charging. Fortunately it uses the same back end as a PC computer tower so you can find a thicker computer cord and plug it right in. It's Amazon Prime week so I just bought another of these C40 chargers as a backup.I've found that if a battery is severely discharged and has a low voltage this charger will detect the terminal voltage is too different from the dialed in selected voltage and turn off, displaying "off" on the LED segment panel. When this happens, I just select in a lower voltage for a short time, allow the voltage to rise, and then re-select the desired voltage and proceed. I regretted shorting and frying my 72v variable Schumacher charger which isn't made anymore but this charger is every bit as good and better with the LED display of V and A and the fully variable current knob. The unit has a fuse (breaker, actually) button and an overload button on the back and these have never "popped" meaning the unit seems smart enough not to need them or that I haven't connected 72v on a 12v setting like my other charger. As for fan noise, it is very acceptable- loud enough to know it's blowing nicely but not annoying at all to work close by. Between each 12v graduation is a H marking which appears to be a half step up in voltage. I'm not a writer (obviously) but as an engineer and interface designer who complains about everything, aside from the power cord, I find nothing to be improved about this workhorse. Well maybe an illuminated power switch instead of the small LED power lamp. :)

FINALLY! A snart charger that I can set to what I want
I have a bus that uses batteries wired in series to create 24 volts. Smart chargers are stupid. If they don't see 24 volts, they flip to 12 volts. Not this bad boy! I set it to 24 volts and that's what she does. Love it. This charger is bigger than I imagined, in both size and weight, and I'm happy about that. It's beefy! I've purchased way to many "smart" chargers, and finally had enough and went with this, and I'm so thankful I did. This charger doesn't mess around, has plenty of "smart" features, and gets the job done. Completely recommend this if you need a batter charger that gets things done!

Perfect
The first time I tried to use it, it didn't work. I contacted the company and they helped me do necessary procedures to make it work properly. Thanks for the help with a great adaptive machine for many vehicles.

Poor Documentation
It took me a while to figure out this unit. I have a 48 volt system in my golf cart. According to the instructions, for 48 volts, the amperage should be set to 10 amps. That charged my batteries initially just fine, but once they were charged, it stated to boil my batteries. I was ready to return the charger when I decided to try one more experiment. I just needed the unit to maintain my batteries while I was gone for long periods. I reset the amperage down to 3 amps. It now maintains the voltage at 50 to 52 volts. Once it is in that voltage range, the amperage will now show 0 amps being used. It is not boiling my batteries any further. In short, use the stated amperage for the voltage you have as stated in the manual. To maintain the batteries over long periods of time, lower the amperage down to a lower value.

Quality charger for great price. Useful
Unit can provide charge to multiple battery types and voltages. The unit also has a battery restoration mode that can recover weak batteries by desulfating the cells. I used the unit to recover a battery bank that was completely drained and would not allow the factory charger to sense the battery to switch on to charge mode The unit has worked great for golf carts and forklift batteries.

Best charger made (for the money)
We deal with GEM cars and we do tons of Lithium upgrades and high performance builds here at the shop. We have installed this same charger on numerous GEM vehicles with both lead acid batteries, GEL batteries, AGM batteries and Lithium too. This charger does them all with ease. Nothing special needed. Just hook up the leads, set the voltage dial to your needed setting, turn it to HI and flick the power switch to on. The charger does everything else for you.Awesome product and works great

Works great for 60 V batteries down to 12 V
I used it to charge my 48 V lithium, iron phosphate, batteries and also 12 V batteries. I like being able to do a slow charge or a fast charge if I want to. Screen shows how many amps it’s charging at and also the voltage. I’ve used it three or four times now and works great.
