The factory lugs are aluminum covers over steel lugs like many vehicles. Over time they swell up due to corrosion and debris getting under the outer sleeve. Once that happens they get stuck in the socket or the sleeve comes off then you have some odd undersized lug nut. These are solid one piece and much cheaper than what the tire store quoted me to install replacement solid lugs. I've seen no signs of rust on these but the truck stays in a garage and mostly out of the weather.

Solid steel lug nuts. Replaced the old cap nuts for my Lexus with these. Look sharp. Works way better too. The old chrome caps on the originals were pretty bent up and some were missing. Now I have some nice ones on my truck to impress the ladies.

Had these mounted on my 2012 Toyota Tundra for less than a week. Mechanic snapped 1 torqueing the lug to spec 95. Thought ok maybe that 1 was bad no other issues during mounting. In less than a week I starting feeling a bad vibration in my steering wheel, took my truck back to the same shop and checked the balance. No issues but snapped 4 more trying to mount the wheels back on. Mechanic took the solid lugs off and noticed that most of them are all snapped on the inside. If I could rate these lugs at a zero I would. Don't waste your money on a cheap product.

Not much to like or dislike they are as described and after all they are only lug nuts . Delivery was as promised .

The threads toward the end needed to be chased with a tap. some metal shavings left behing.but these are good otherwise.
