I saw this lamp in my capstone mentors office and noticed how it have the right type of light over his desk, cubicle. We both have sensitive eyes, get migraines and computer work all day can be draining. The right lighting makes all the difference. He said it helps his eyes and no headaches or at least less eye strain. The price was reasonable so I bought one for my home office. WOW I could see my computer without the harsh glare, it is a smoothing light and looks like a half moon to me. I love it so much that I just purchase another one for my dark ugly cubicle for my new job to bring good lighting (sunshine) and the moon to my day. Wonderful arc lights. I have owned them for a few years. Just be careful when transporting as they are rather fragile you would need to take them apart and take them to the base or something. But the dimming function is great, and they add a very nice accent to any living room or bedroom.

I got it 2.5 years ago. I’m very happy with it. At first, I was disappointed because I thought it was not bright enough. However I realized that I was comparing it with the neon light I used to have above my desk, which is a different “color” of light. This one, as the description says, is “soft white light”, while the neon light was probably what they call “white day light”. Now I am used to it and have realized that it is in fact plenty bright. I bought it primarily for my office desk. I work from home and the length of the arch perfectly covers the length of my desk. I just moved it in my living room over my reclining armchair to see how it looks (pictured). I like it and might get another one for there! By the way, it was VERY easy to assemble. I think some reviewers said it felt/looked cheap. I can see why they would think that because all the parts are thin and feel fragile. However, I think that is just how it has to be if you want a minimalist design. I like the simple switch. I saw some other models where they have touch censors and stuff which, of course, was prone to problems. Sometimes low-tech is better.

I ordered one of these as a light to use above my bed as a neat accent piece and to provide additional light for my room. It could definitely be used as the sole light source in a room, if you're ok with things being a bit dim, and shadows looking a bit odd from one light source, I think its better paired with a range of lower output light sources to create an ensemble look. On the lamp itself, the photos suggest when ordering "Black" that the entire length of the support from base to tip of black, which is not the case. Only the base and LED housing are black, the curved metal support is still silver (which is fine with me, just not what the photos show). The three dimmable settings are nice (by stepping on the foot pedal several times). Its noted as a "warm" white, with a color temperature of 3000k. Its the tiniest bit too cool for me to consider a comfortable, "warm" shade, preferring about 2700k (approximately what an old school incandescent bulb was), but its a minor difference, and that's mostly my personal preference and discerning eye. The first lamp I received had several LED's flickering when turned on, it only did this intermittently but still annoying. I can't confirm if this was shipping damage or a manufacturing issue, however after contacting the seller to request a replacement LED housing (just the end part), they in fact sent an entire new lamp without requesting the old semi-functional one back, so I would say their customer service is above and beyond. Overall a really nice, contemporary lamp that makes me feel pretty old for still being kind of wowed that what's effectively a curved metal and plastic stick provides enough light for a whole room. If you're looking to jazz up a room with something modern and sleek, this would be a good bet. Only removing one star due to the partly inaccurate representation of the final product. **Edit/Update**: As noted before, the first lamp I received has three or four of the LED's towards the end of the strip flicker on and off intermittently at certain times, and therefore a second lamp was sent at no cost. Examining the second lamp, there are ALSO defects in this one, with the final one or two LEDs in the strip completely non functional. Considering that the items are simply placed in a box with almost zero protection for shipping (packing peanuts, air pouches, foam, etc), I can only conclude that either the quality control in manufacturing/testing is extremely lax OR the company's concern for shipping damage is quite minimal. Packages get knocked around in the mail pretty severely, and a small strip of LED's with minimal protection likely wouldn't fare well. So whether this was a second defective unit or lack of attention to proper packaging, either seems to fall on the seller, not the postal system.

I have bought a couple of these and I like 'em. Easy to put together and do exactly what I thought they would. There are three distinct light levels controlled with a foot switch. The power cord is generous in length also. At the lowest level, it can function as a night light . The light quality is distinctly yellowish/warm. Here is your caveat ... No kids allowed. I attached a video to demonstrate that they are very flexible and a kid deciding to hang off it would mean total destruction. For the money, this is pretty fun.

We managed to create a dining space in our apartment but couldn't find a way to light it without dangling wires. This thin, slick, modern, sculptural lamp is perfect. So much style for so little money! I was concerned knowing that the arc was too small to reach all the way over our 73" long rectangular dining table, but the lamps throws the light another 12-18 inches, so it illuminates the whole table equally. It's tall enough that it's not in anyone's eyes. Perfect solution. Quick assembly, easy foot switch dimmer. I'd say the light is right on the neutral mark, neither cool nor warm. Works really well over a sofa or settee or roomy reading chair, too. The thin wire upright will "bounce" when you move it or bump into it, but the base is stable. You won't be sorry you bought it!

I wanted a light for my piano, but it is hard to find one that is good for a baby grand... this is an awesome answer. This arcs over the piano music holder perfectly. There is no shadow, or hard to see parts of the music. I love this light!!! It is bright and it is very easy to turn on and off with the floor switch with your foot. No twisting, bending and no losing the ability to turn on and off because a kid wonders off with the remote! This light is the perfect solution for a baby grand piano light!

Very modern arc design. It is actually a lot slimmer than I expected which also seems a bit fragile. Not very sturdy and felt like can easily knock over a few times when I bumped into it getting up. Doesn’t seem easy to switch out the bulb given the shape of the lamp. Looking nice in pictures more than a bit in-person. 3 adjustable brightness is definitely a nice option. Step control also easy to maneuver.
