This is a really nice set of salt and pepper shakers. I guess they can be used for other things, but that's what we bought them for. Nice size, easy to get hold of and to flip open the top. The one thing I noticed, that I like, is the flip top opener is just a smooth open. It stays open until you close it, but there is not any sort of click. When there's a click that means something in there to make the snap, which is something that is going to break. Not these. Very happy with them and my wife may buy another set for other spices for the table. Highly recommend!

That silver colored top is plastic, but they've been working just fine & look good on the table. I like that they're not overly big nor too small.

Keeps moisture out. And the descending rods that have a bearing in them ( I think) jiggles the salt and breaks them down so there is No Clumping at all. Highly recommend and thank you or the maker, these are excellent and work as advertised. Love the larger size, so I don’t have to refill as often. So pleased

When I received these I had mixed feelings as the caps look metal but they are actually a hard plastic it's a thick plastic and so is the glass bottle. I like the holes are larger than alot of shakers but my kosher salt is still a bit too large so I did a two spin on the coffee/spice grinder and it's great. The flip up cover works flawlessly when down keeps moisture out and lid remains up when when I'm using it . Last weekend I accidentally dropped one on ceramic tile... No chips and plastic top didn't break

Most of us are and wear that one of the primary importance of the difference in a salt and pepper shaker is that the holes for the pepper have to be bigger than the holes for the salt or the pepper will not come outIn this case these are identical for the little clip that glows them on the top which means pepper doesn't come out of the pepper shaker much at all.I ended up using a very small drill to double the size of the holes on the pepper shaker so it now works but it seems kind of ridiculous that I had to do this buying what was supposed to be a salt and pepper shaker set. It was easy to drill since the top of these are basically just cheap plastic. But the glass bottom parts are pretty sturdy and I think it'll work for quite a while we'll see.Too bad people can't just make things at work right the first time using their brain and trying them out for themselves first before putting on the market.Why do we have send users have to discover this kind of thing for yourselves?

Handy to use and keeps dust and debris out of the shaker when not in use.

simple but good salt container
