Fabulous book. Cheap at twice the price. Great reminiscing about living in SF 40 years ago

I had been really excited about this book as San Francisco and photography are a real passion. You get some of the classics from the likes of Fred Lyon and to learn some other names that were not so prominent (at least to me). While there are no recent photos of the city, this book is more about the history of the city through the lens of very talented photographers, some of which are anonymous but I was glad to see them published anyway. This is a hefty book at over 8 pounds but is also beautifully bound with nice big and popping photos, I'm not sure if it comes in other sizes but would recommend this one for that alone. There's also a lot of citations of popular events and people who have touched the city in one way or another. It does come in multiple languages which adds to the heft but not enough to detract from it all. If you're a fan of San Francisco history and photography, this is the book for you.

Bought this fory parents who grew up in the city in the 50s. This book does a great job showcasing what made SF great.

Perfect gift for someone who has fallen in love with the gorgeous city of San Francisco!

For anyone who grew up in the bay area after WWII this will bring on the memories.

This is a beautiful book with photos I've never seen before. I collect 60's posters and books, but this truly outstanding. Can't wait to dive in.

I really thought this was a more recent book of events but it was not still looked like a good overall book
