I used to have to schlep myself to the mall 45 minutes away to buy this soap. When it came in bags, I was always annoyed I couldn’t get it all out. Now, in these bottles, you can rest assured you’re getting every last drop of this luscious goodness from the bottle. I had been cleaning downstairs and was using the Mrs Youknowwho’s soap I had in the powder room. My hands started feeling & looking dry. They were starting to “ache” from the dryness. I immediately brought this down from the sink in the master bedroom and used it exclusively when I was going about my cleaning. I could feel the difference in just one day! This is so much more gentle on the skin and that smell! It’s so clean and fresh! It lathers up nicely and cleans well. This one bottle lasts over two months, but makes my skin feel five years younger! Plus, it gets delivered to me, I don’t have to drive to get it.

This is a phenomenal soap. Have been using it since mid-2020 when excessive hand washing was fashionable! After use hands feel clean and comfortable, not stripped to the bone like with some other soaps.

As someone who was initially concerned by all of the very recent negative reviews here (as well as on the L’Occitane website) about the changed formula in this hand wash, I have to say I’m still pretty happy with the product. I didn’t experience the previous version that people claim was better, but this is still definitely one of the most moisturizing hand soaps I’ve used. It’s the consistency of a creamy lotion, and it feels great while washing. Your hands feel very soft (but clean). I always follow with their Shea hand cream with amazing results. Part of me wonders if they changed the formula to better compliment their hand creams, or help them absorb better. I have sensitive skin and while my hands don’t feel dry after using the soap alone, I find that my hands feel absolutely incredible when I use the soap and then the Shea cream afterwards. The two really make a great pair, and your hands feel insanely soft without a greasy feel. Sometimes moisturizing soaps can make your hands feel filmy or too slick, but this isn’t the case here. The product disappears into your skin and does it’s job well. It’s a really great soap for frequent daily washing, which we are all probably doing a lot more than before. I stumbled on L’Occitane after buying a stick of their Baux deodorant, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much of a step above their stuff is from the usual stuff you’d find at the mall or in your parent’s house. I was wary about buying these kinds of things from Amazon, but so far it’s all been authentic and great quality. I’m going to start giving this stuff as gifts rather than that awful harsh crap they call soap at B&BW.

So I ordered the Extra Gentle Lotion from L'Occitane and accidentally received this! I believed it was the lotion at first since it was so moisturizing. They ended up sending me my lotion (I love it) and sent me a return label for this hand wash. I didn't want to send it back, I kept sneaking little samples until I buckled and bought my own. I work with food, so I am constantly washing my hands... Little did I know that them accidentally sending this hand wash was going to help SO much with my dry hand situation. When I wash my hands at home i am not wincing from all the little cuts and dryness, it is so nice. If you're experiencing dry skin anywhere (this is technically a hand and body wash) I would recommend this product. Take it from me, I wasn't about to spend $25 on hand wash... But after I tried it, I NEEDED it! Lol

Love everything about this hand soap - the smell, the lather and how my hands feel so soft after using it! It’s pricey but great value for the money because it’s a little luxury in an often used space! I like the smaller size for my guest bathroom and the larger size for the primary bathroom. All L’Occitane products are excellent quality. You should also try the matching bottle of shea butter hand lotion!
