Good quality, nice performance, great value.
These pans are working great. As other reviews have said there are some light discoloration on the bottom of the pans. A slightly milky like coloration. However, I did not buy them for the looks. They cook great. The nesting feature is nice to reduce storage space. The quality of the build is good. The lids fit well. They came very well packed, I think they go through a lot of packaging material. I use them on an induction stove and the cook time is good. Now I need a higher end stove as this Frigidaire is not quite up to the performance of my previous GE Gallery series.

Nice pan set
My mother has used this brand of pans for years and has always raved about it. I seen it was on sale and was in the market for a new set of pots and pans and thought I would try them. I feel I’m getting my moneys worth with this set. This is a beautiful set. It’s very durable. Cooks my food up beautifully. The food does not stick to it but I also seasoned the set when I got it. It does say if food sticks or you have trouble cleaning just use some bar keepers friend on them. It’s a good weight. Cleans up easily. I don’t put them in the dishwasher because it is recommended to hand wash. Very functional. I would recommend.

A Pleasure to Use - Innovations are paying off!
Let's start by simply stating that I love this line of cookware. It was only two years ago that I had replaced a badly worn set of non-stick with another non-stick set (Green Pan), that broke down immediately... To say that I was disappointed, doesn't really capture my feeling about non-stick cookware in general. Our other set of pans is a stainless Revere Ware set, which I enjoyed but my wife did not (they are very heavy and don't transfer heat very well). After much searching and discussion, we decided to abandon non-stick pans and to go with more stainless. Now, after only two months, we are planning on replacing the Revere Ware with another set of these Calphalon Classic. Why do I love them? - Sturdy build with strong bonds, perfectly weighted, efficient energy distribution, in pot measurement markings, and innovative lids which give more options for cooking (covered and vented) while enabling you to see and strain food and use fewer utensils. The pan handles stay cool enough to hold while heating the pan on the stove and they cool off pretty quickly when taken out of the oven. What can be improved? - The lid handles can get too hot to remove comfortably by hand. The set doesn't nest very well. The lids are awesome, but the strainer makes them thick and more difficult to store. For me, the pans nest best with the handles resting in the pour spout of the next largest pan, otherwise the handles will start to tilt further and further up and won't fit in my drawer. The trade off for reducing the handle height in storage comes in a much larger footprint, with the handles extending out at 90 degree angles. This won't be an issue for hanging storage.I also feel like I should respond to some of the other reviews that are critical of the pan surfaces. To be blunt, I haven't experienced any of these quality issues and have to attribute most of the complaints to inexperienced users. When used properly, these pans are much easier to care for and far more durable than non-stick varieties. Preheat the pans, for a minute or two, on medium heat before adding fats. De-glaze pans during cooking when sauteing or searing food. If you scorch a meal into a pan, boil and scrub it out. It's not the pan's fault you can't cook and non-stick technology isn't your savior... Lastly, discoloration and warping are mostly a product of overheating the cookware, especially when empty and clean. I haven't experienced any of these negative attributes, and with continued respectful usage, I don't expect to either.Once again, this cookware set meets and exceeds my expectations and I highly recommend them.

Wanted to Like It
PROs:- It's beautiful stainless steel. Guilt free cooking.- Feels great and evenly heats.- Perfect weight and good balance between pan and handle.- Handles are brushed texture and do not get hot.- Shape of pans allow for easy flips and slides/pours. Pots have easy-pour sides with vented tops.CONs- Would have liked one more frying pan that's larger and one more handled pot that's larger as well.- Frying pan cannot handle oil on heat. Every time I cooked with it, it stained black. The first time, boiling baking soda worked to get it "clean." Was a shade of light tan after with no dark stains. The second time, stains were darker and wouldn't leave. Tried baking soda; Scrub Daddy Paste; Barkeeper's Best Friend--- end result is the photo.Kind of a disappointment, but it is what it is. I'll cook on top of the stains and maybe try to find a better pan for frying.
