Our Pectin contains sucrose for ease of dispersion in your recipes, preventing lumps forming and ensuring a standardised gelling ability for consistency and uniformity in your creations.

You could probably use it to create a reasonably good nutrient agar if you combined it with some nutritional yeast. That should work for cultivating bacteria or fungi. Keep in mind that this isn't pure agar agar powder, though. It also contains sugar
