Despite what the makers say this does work on Linux. I just plugged it in and it was recognised and the relevant drivers loaded automatically. I have connected it to several different devices including two makes of headphones, a bluetooth amplifier and a mini speaker. All work faultessly with two way communication working on all devices. I can wander around my (admittedly small) house listening to music without any break in sound. It is supposed to have a blue led on it somewhere but I've never seen it light. But what the heck, I didn't buy it to look at it. After seven months of daily use I have absolutely no complaints about this device. For those interested the system I'm using is Linux Lite 6.6 (derived from Ubuntu) with kernel 5.15.0-91 and the Blueman 2.2.4 app.

I am using it to collect data from cheap Bluetooth temperature/humidity sensors and it brings a great improvement in range over the integrated Bluetooth. Works out of the box with Raspberry OS by simply adding the drivers for the RTL8761BU chip. You can search for "Installing Realtek RTL8761B Bluetooth drivers" on the RaspberryPi forum.

Besseres W-Lan ist damit tatsächlich da. Es funktioniert besser als mit meinem Onboard 4.2. von ASUS. Ob sich die Anschaffung im Einzelfall allerdings lohnt, muss man selber entscheiden. Mich ärgerte, dass mein altes System ausgerechnet auf dem Klo streikte. Das Problem ist jetzt behoben.
