Hollywog WiTouch Pro TENS Unit for Back Pain Relief & Recovery, Wireless, Wearable, Made in USA, Gel Pads Included

I have used this particular type of TENS for lower back pain which I have had for years. This is my fourth replacement. The units are easy to use, (no wires), and they last a long time. I use my unit two times a day. The electrical stim session lasts 30 minutes and users can adjust the electrical charge to their liking. The negative is that the electrode replacement pads that come with this unit do not last many uses before they stop adhering to the skin and they are quite expensive IMO. My solution to that was finding a source of medical grade electrode gel in LARGE tubes that I use to extend the life of the pads by applying the gel on the surface of the pad. I would recommend this item for lower back pain relief.

What seemed like an excellent idea - being able to get the benefits of a Tens Unit without the wires, turned out to be more of an inconvenience than just sticking with a regular Tens Unit. With a standard Tens unit you do need to attach the unit to your belt or pocket, and you do have the wires to contend with. With this WiTouch Pro you still must carry your cell phone or be near your blue tooth device, otherwise the unit cant find its connection and won't work - so not much of a convenience there. But the worst thing about the WiTouch Pro, is the gel pads. They truly can only be used once, as they peel off in a ball of goo when you remove the unit, making them impossible to reuse. And, if you place the unit in the wrong spot and try to reposition it, the gel pads become destroyed. Also, with a Tens Unit, you have much more flexibility in placing the pads exactly where you need them. This device is sorely limited. Its a great idea - but very poorly designed.

I had been looking for a device that can provide TENS treatment without all the wires around me and will stick to my skin while using. I’m not sure that this product totally meets that. The device is good, not great. The instructions are easy enough to follow with some minor issues on the manual info. You don’t necessarily need an app as it can be turned on manually. Furthermore, if you use the app, location services can always be changed. Treatment functions from low to high intensity is easily changed via app or manually. Convenient. The product doesn’t really stay or stick on to your body (skin) as pictured. It will slip and fall due to the weight of the product itself and the batteries (2 AAAs). You need either your underwear or pants to hold it in place. This is where the small wired patches do a better job. With the small wired patches, you can easily put them ALMOST anywhere on your body. This doesn’t. As to the manual instructions, company should stick to GREEN protective liners as noted on page 5, instead of using clear liners which are hard to see. Lastly, this product is too pricey for the features it offers. Thus the “3” rating. Why did I not return it? Just too tired of returning items because I believed features noted in product specifications, pictures shown and great customer reviews by others which I respect. To each his own.

I tried this TENS device for three weeks for sciatic pain. It definitely gave relief while using but was was difficult to wear for long periods. I have a body inverter and have found that inverting and pain patches seem to be working best for the sciatica. Since not everyone has access to a body inverter, this unit would probably be a good choice for back pain.

I have to travel a lot for work and pleasure. After dragging my luggage around or sitting for a long time, my back can bother me. This little device is easily worn under clothes and can be activated and turned off easily from a remote. The batteries last a reasonable time but do have to be changed if you use it frequently. I leave it in my carry-on to make it through TSA.
