I ordered this chain, I ordered the wrong size, got a .325 pitch, .063 gauge and need a 3/8 .050. they refunded me, but what I can say I am ordering the right one, it is a very well built chain, heavy look forward to using the right one. The Stihl ms 230 has different sprockets, one will have the .325 pitch and one will have the 3/8 look at your manual and part numbers to see about ordering I can change the bar and sprocket to use the chain I got but prefer not to
