Very good purchase. Bought it for installing in a PS5 and it works without any issues. Speed is good and for a Samsung, its definitely Value for Money. No heat-related issues. I have other Samsung drives - they don't crash - hence they are very durable. Size is standard - fits in PS5 without issues.

This Samsung 980 PRO SSD with Heatsink 2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 is a very good upgrade to add more storage to my PS5 console. Easy to install and fits perfectly with all and heatsink inside the console.

Waited for a sale and scored the best SSD I have ever used. My PC is moderately mid-high end, used for work, video editing, gaming/VR, as well as run of the mill web surfing. I have other 1TB SSDs that are about 2 years old. This new 2TB SSD seems at least 3x-4x as fast. Copying files to / from this SSD is lightning quick! It has been reliable and I hope it continues to work this well forever. If your motherboard supports Gen 4 NVMe, you can't go wrong with this SSD. My only complaint is that now it makes my other SSDs feel slow by comparison.

Great for ps5 ssd upgrade

Bought as used. It is backward compatible with PCIe3.0 When I check the condition of the ssd, I have the feeling that it could have been returned without it really being used. The ssd with heatsink is Weider then the ones without. Hence probably older motherboard will not able to accommodate wider ssd, like mine. Luckily, my motherboard has two M2 sockets. One of the port is facing upward, so the ssd need to be mounted vertically against motherboard with detachable support bracket. Of course the bracket turn out to be too narrow to accommodate this ssd. After necessary modification of supporting bracket, the ssd could be installed and working. Check with Samsung Magician, give satisfying result.

Bought this for my daughter's ps5. She hasn't had any issues with it and I wouldn't expect any. It was easy to install and exactly what she needed to expand the storage.
