I have that exact case and it fits beautifully in it. I have it placed right below the two DVD-ROMs and looks like it was made to go into that spot.

Q: Will this fit a Dell Precision T3500?

Unfortunately, this will not work in your T3500. The T3500 is the same case as the old XPS 410 I have and the space needed for this cage is not there.

Q: How to use with case that has supports in each bay that reduce the width? All my cases have such supports.
