Q: Can you use contact cement to glue down?

We only recommend double-sided tape for most surfaces or polyurethane for concrete or wood. We haven't tested contact cement.

Q: The 36" x 12" mat, can I get it where the ribs are across on the 12" width? I want this for my gold sluice

Unfortunately we cannot customize the direction of the ribs on this product. You may want to check out our Ramp Cleat instead because the ribs on that product run the width.

Q: Is 1/8" the overall thickness?

Without grabbing a tape measure and going outside to measure, yes I would say 1/8 inch sounds right it is definitely no thicker than that. I trimmed it down with a pair of regular household scissors and it cut super easy.
