Great water color crayons!
I can’t say enough good things about these. Fun to work with, I love how easy they are to blend. They come with a brush and clear acrylic sheet for blending colors. Highly pigmented so a little goes a long way.

Great for talents of ALL kinds!
I think calling these 'crayons' kinda suggests a lower quality, that is NOT my experience. I've been an artist since birth I believe lol! I also teach children/young adults, on a 1:1 basis. These 'crayons' are ONLY limited by the constraints YOU put on your creativity. I've found that the amount of pigment in each color is equal to, if not better, than some I've paid MUCH more for. The colors mix, layer, and blend very well. I've been working w a 13yo & using these crayons was my 1st intro to watercolor for her, it went BEAUTIFULLY. Although water color is not MY medium of choice therefore my knowledge is limited in THAT medium, it's important for me to be able to at least give her an intro to it(it MAY turn out to be HER medium of choice) and these crayons make it much easier for me to do that. Not to mention I do this as a way to give back so the price point gives me more of an opportunity to be able to send a student home w the tools they can use to experiment at home. Art is all about play... never lose that ability!

Easy and simple to use.
They're good for what they are and to have fun with. I'm unsure how much I want to get back into watercolor, so I wanted something easy and not budget breaking. The little plastic 'palette' leaves something to be desired as there's no texture and you really have to press to get the crayon to smear onto it if you want to mix color this way. Also, the included brush was really nice. Used on 100% cotton paper, they dissolved pretty well and better then expected, they are pretty transparent though.

Great quality
These were surprisingly pigmented. I didn’t have high hopes for these but they were much better than expected. Good quality watercolor for the price. My mom says she likes them better than the more expensive ones she has purchased.

great color payout
I think these are really good watercolor crayons with a lot of pigment. Once you learn to use them, they're wonderful and are SO much cheaper than a lot of the other watercolor crayons. Things I didn't like were the flimsy box, and the brush. I prefer a water brush that's just barely damp. No need to saturate your page with water. I sure wish Crayola would put out a larger set!

Crayola Signature Watercolor Crayons - Way Better Than Expected!
These crayons sat in my Amazon cart for the longest. Every time I considered purchasing them, I came across another not-so-good review. I finally ordered them anyway. This is the first sketch I did with them. Review: They are slightly softer than Neocolor II but still firm. They also have a bit of an oil pastel feel. I suspect the issue many people have with these crayons is that, depending on the paper, the sketch marks remain. I don’t mind this. In fact, I like it. If I wanted them to dissolve completely, I’d use watercolor. So, use their properties to your advantage. There are only 12 colors but that's not an issue since you can mix any color you need from these. Smearing doesn't seem to be an issue but if you're concerned, you can always spray it with fixative. Would I buy them again? Yes. I enjoyed working with them. The box is sturdy, and the tray is firm enough to keep the crayons from breaking, which is good. But if I take them with me, I’ll carry them in a small gift card tin.

Easy to use and smooth on paper
Better than higher priced ones I have purchased. Used for mixed media and gel pens and markers write smoothly on them, Blend well and great for all water color projects. Do not run all over the paper when water added.

I bought this because I volunteered to look after my neighbour's (single mom) daughter. What do I remember doing with 10 year olds. With my kids, it was art, especially painting. I got out y old paints and 2 hours was easily spend as she learned to pull water across paper. I had some old sketch books and we experimented with what happened with paper weights - just played. Nice big crayons and a good brush. My idea of social media.
