This product works well for my dog. She has a neurological issue that affects her hind legs. She often drags her toes (toenails), causing them to bleed. This powder stops it right away. Great product!

Works well

Always keep on hand when trimming or cutting dogs, cats, birds, any small pets nails. In the event you cut to deep, it helps clot the blood.

As a professional groomer this product is grainy and will stain both the pet and your hands.. It does not effectively stop nail bleeding. Horrible product.

I’m so thankful i had this on hand. I try to be prepared for some common scenarios/accidents with the dogs, so I purchased some of this just to have in my arsenal. One night I was clipping one of my dogs’ nails and accidentally hit her quick. It was immediately a bloody mess. I quickly pinched some of this powder in the palm of my hand and pressed her nail into the powder and the bleeding STOPPED. I was genuinely so shocked considering how much it was bleeding. I couldn’t be more thankful for this product for saving me (and her) in this situation. It will leave a bit of a metallic smell behind, but honestly it’s a small trade off for the effectiveness of the product.
