My daughter was doing math work at nursery when i saw these and thought i would get them to give to her class and they loved them, both the nursery nurses and the children got a lot of lay from these and i personally think it is something my daughter will always remember from nursery as they're made well and she and her friends all had their names on theirs. Thank you so much!

This set of 25 rekenrek are perfect for classroom use or group learning. They are well sized for children, safe and easy to store. My daughter in law is currently teaching children with learning disabilities and part of her week focuses on real life skills. These abacus are ideal for the children to use and a great tool to make math feel ’real’ by turning the symbol 5 for example into something they can touch, see and feel. They are also using them to count objects to generalise the skill and she’s found they work very well with some of her class who are non verbal. The children enjoy using them and find them less overwhelming, and they are ideal for her more visual learners. These 20 bead wooden abacus are well made in my opinion and the colours are helpful. The beads slide easily and make a nice clicky noise which is satisfying. They are compact, take some rough handling and are easy to use and less messy than loose counters. In my opinion they are fairly priced and ideal for teaching early math skills. I hope you find my review helpful.

They were Christmas gifts for my violin studio as repetition counters. These are cute and small enough to fit in the pocket of a violin case. Also, very durable showing no signs of breakage with use. The students love them and have made great progress.

I am a first grade teacher and am very pleased with these. They are made well, and the beads are good size for little hands. I didn't find them "loud" at all as one user commented. They could be used at the rug laying flat on the ground, or upright at students' desks. I think for a class set of 25, the price is actually quite reasonable. I've purchases a few other hand2mind items, and have them all to be well made and of good quality. I would definitely recommend these.
