I have purchased three of these. The first is over a year old and I recently purchased 2 more. SETUP: They can be assembled in seconds. Just insert one pipe into the other until the locking pin clicks. USE: They are very easy to raise, lower, tilt, and tie up. There is a crank that opens and closes the umbrella. It is connected to a small rope that runs up through the pole to a pully that then pulls the umbrella mechanism up or down. I'm sure there is a limited lifespan on that cord, but after a year, mine looks fine. You can tilt the umbrella when it is open by push a button. It has 3 angles that it can lock in at. Some other umbrellas can hit any angle you want, but I never need that precise of an angle. The umbrella has ties so that when closed, you can tie it shut to avoid wind blowing up into it. Finally, the umbrellas has the double umbrellas on top to allow wind to blow out when you get a stronger gust. It works pretty well. My 35lb base works for most wind. I haven't tried it in strong winds, but you would need at least 50lb base to even attempt. QUALITY: It's not built like a $300+ umbrella, but it looks nice, holds it's color after a year in the sun, and seems like it will last for 3-5 years which is pretty standard for even expensive umbrellas. at 1/6 the price, these are a much better option.

I have four of these umbrellas in different colors. Thos year i left my dark green one open since June- closing it for storms. I went to close it and top is severely faded. I know these dont say no fade but I'm surprised how fast it faded, also this is only one that faded out of 3 I left open. Dark green is my favorite. Im disappointed. Besides fading these are great! Solid, strong, thry have tipped over couple times woth my stands and didn't damage at all. Tilt is nice- it is very tough to push but works. They save us from sun and keep area cooler. I must love them or I wouldn't have 4 lol. Dark green, dark blue,aqua blue and purplish one. I may get anther hat. These are good price and worth it. There is no reason to pay 100.00 for umbrella.

I have had several of these and they hold up really well except when I get caught off guard and a storm blows through and tears them up. Ironically the material part holds up but of course the frame gets destroyed in heavy winds which is to be expected... But they hold up in light to medium winds just fine. So for the price I just buy a new umbrella and I keep the old material part in case something happens to my new one I've got a backup!

The green is beautiful. Seems durable and a good weight. Perfect size for a picnic table

The quality of this umbrella is outstanding! We accidentally left it open when we were out for a date night and some intense winds came through our area. When we arrived home, it was still open and upside down in the creek next to our house. Only one piece of metal bent slightly and it still worked like a charm with no other damage! The color is also bright and beautiful and exactly as pictured!

These are good umbrellas at a great price and last for years. They also do not fade in sun. Red one is 2 years old.

The wind can damage these umbrellas; they are not sturdy as the advertising implies. They are cheap, so I keep buying them, but I've replaced about 10 of them in the past 3 years. If you live in an area where high wind is frequent, be sure to secure the umbrellas ahead of time, otherwise they will be broken and bent and you'll have to replace them.

Considering the modest cost, this attractive umbrella is well made. I'll report back after a year.

Not what I expected. I feel a strong wind will get this umbrella. Not solid . I give it one star.
