Perfect for Bakers, Anime Fans, and anyone with a sweet tooth!
I approach this book from a few perspectives: amateur baker, passionate foodie, lifelong anime fan, and also someone who previously lived and worked in Japan. This book is the real deal! The range of recipes extends from Japanese classics like Dango and Nerikiri, to "European" sweets like Caneles and Macarons (which may seem out of place, but are very popular in Japan and frequently seen in anime). The directions and explanations are written to be accessible for even beginners, but the difficulty in recipes range from true novices to some truly technical stuff for the more ambitious souls, meaning that there is something for everyone in this book.Of course, every recipe is introduced with an explanation of its cultural origin, anime or otherwise, which brings a sense of cohesion to the whole affair. The cherry on top of this delicious dessert is the presentation: clean, colorful, cute, and never sacrifices its integrity as a cookbook for the sake of novelty. The photos of the finished desserts are similarly beautiful, but with plenty of meticulous anime-inspired touches that give this book a strong identity of its own.It is wholly evident that this book is the product of passion and love- for baking, for anime, and for inviting others into your kitchen to share in your hobbies. I can't recommend it enough.

Christmas Gift
This was a Christmas gift for my mom. We have a shared love for anime and anyone who watches anime knows that it always has food and makes you wonder what it tastes like. It’s has a lot of recipes that we want to try and make. So far I haven’t noticed anything wrong with the book but I won’t know until we try to cook something.

Fun recipes and makes a great gift
I’m not well versed with anime much beyond some Studio Ghibli movies, but I love Japanese food. I bought one copy of Bake Anime for me and one for my younger, anime-loving friend. Even with my limited anime knowledge I fully enjoyed reading each recipe and corresponding back story. I want to try them all! Makes a perfect gift, too!

Amazing Recipies, Photos, and Illustrations
I absoultely love Bake Anime! I've had such a great time going through and baking the the things in this book. The Photos are fantastic and always give me the motivation to bake up somethign scrumptious and delicious whenever I feel like I should just give in and buy some convienece store trash. Plowing through and going through the hard work of baking some Totoro Cream Puffs(tm) while close to starving is it's own reward asside from shoving them down my mouth after like a greedy goblin.

Love these
I actually think this is part of a series of cook books. I grabbed all 3, the only minor problem I have with this one is there is no table of contents, but other than that it is a really good book full of interesting recipies.

Es bastante detallado
The media could not be loaded.

Such a fun cookbook!
This cookbook is great! My son loved looking through it to find desserts for his birthday. We made the mixed berry Victoria sponge cake and the manju. My son was really happy that they turned out like the pictures and I thought the recipes were easy to follow.
