Does a gig bag come with the ls-ta concert? everywhere else it comes with a gig bag at the same price. but amazon says nothing about it.

I know it does not say anything about it but yes I did receive one when I ordered it in February. There is no gig bag with the FSTA even when you buy it from a big box guitar store. Enjoy the LSTA as it is well worth it, I just was playing mine! I got it at a good price too!

Does the pickup still work without a battery?

Since a standard 1/4" cable isn't powered, the guitar still needs the battery - the chorus and reverb will work through the PA or amp; so there's no need for extra effects. I add delay through my VOX amp.

Anyone play the ll-ta vs ls-ta side by side? love to hear comments of the difference. thanks.

I purchased the LL-TA. It DID have a feedback issue. I contacted Yamaha and they approved a free repair on the Guitar. I think they did this for all LL-TA's, knowing there was a design problem.
