LIHAO High Tenacity Black 100% Spun Polyester Sewing Thread(Set of 12, 400 Yards per Piece)

I think I saw a review about how the spools werent that big so i was a little wary of purchasing this product, but when I got it i was really happy! The spools are as you would expect for 200 yards a piece (i included a picture of size comparison & thickness) so I don't understand why people would think they would be massive like the 2k yard spools? I was just afraid of them turning out to be itty bitty like sample spools, but they are not!!! Anyway, I use these for hand sewing so I don't know what they would be like in a machine but for me they were very sturdy and not linty or cheap looking (they seemed just about as good as the 2k spools i got from Joane's). I tried to snap the thread intentionally a couple of times, and it gave quite a bit of resistance. The colors are so vivid too, and have this little shine to them (not too much, just enough to keep them from looking dull or washed out)!! A few days before receiving this item I bought this really crazy neon orange color of fleece, and was surprised to find that there was a spool of thread in this package that matched it perfectly!! I don't know, I'm babbling just because I was very pleasantly surprised by the value you get here when generally you get what you pay for or less (i feel like it's worth a little bit more than the price, but also i got free shipping with my prime membership). I'm somewhat new to sewing (apart from doing it poorly and sporadically in childhood) but I also intend to make a lot of things, and if someone is in a similar situation where they need a collection to start off with then this is perfect for them (i can't speak to how good it would be for more experienced people/machines since I fall into neither of those categories)! I honestly don't see myself running out any time soon, but when I do I definitely intend to buy again.

This is great thread for hand sewing. I bought it to use for hand binding quilts to have a good color variety. Inexpensive. Ships fast. I got it the day they said it would be here. The tray the spools come in its great for storage. I keep the cover on it so that dust stays off lays flat in a drawer easily too. I would not use this thread on machine. Likely to have too much lint and breakage.

Sucks. I'm not too bummed out because of the low price. That being said, it is not good thread. Hard to find the ends of many of the spools. I've had thread break virtually every time, and I am threading my machine correctly. The gold thread is pretty but nothing but a pain as the gold constantly wipes off and gets....furry. If nothing else though, it is nice to have so many colors in case I don't have a matching color of my good quality thread.39 spools for like $9 is a good deal - just don't expect anything of high quality.

For the price, this is great thread!I sew a lot of costumes for dance, so having a large variety of colors is a must. I love the colors in this pack! It is nice too because some of the colors like bright neon yellow or orange are colors that I typically wouldn't sew with a lot, so the fact that the spools have less thread (making the price lower) is better than having to buy a full spool of colors that I wouldn't use a lot.I am using this thread on a Brother cs6000i and have not had any problems with breakage. I use this thread in both the bobbin and the top. This would also be a nice set to have around if you do some hand sewing like buttons or fancy stitches to embellish sleeves or necklines.I only give it 4 stars because I have to agree with another reviewer that says finding the end of the thread on a new spool is impossible. It isn't impossible, but it is very hard and a little annoying.

There is an amazing variety of colors of thread in this set. They are nicely packaged in a container. They seem to be a cotton/poly blend. THe shipping was quick and I love have a variety for my new sewing machine. BUT, the thread is not super tightly wound and it seems to break easier than other brands of thread. So, I use this on simple projects with straight stitches and it works wonderfully, but doesn't work so well on projects with fancy stiches

I NEEDED SOME 'SEW-BY-HAND' THREAD AND I WANTED A VARIETY OF COLOURS WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK BUYING LARGE SPOOLS OF THREAD. I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AS IT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'D ENVISIONED. THE COLOURS ARE GREAT, PROVIDE ME WITH CHOICES AND THE THREAD IS STRONG. YOU MAY BUY THIS PRODUCT W/O HESITATION.....AND THE PRICE IS CERTAINLY RIGHT!!! ALSO, THINK THE PACKAGING IS CHARMING.

Cheap and colorful, but poor quality thread.It's so rough that it gets stuck all the time when handsewing..probably will jam your sewing machine.

This is a great set! The packaging is cute as hell. The label itself is written in mandarin so it does come across as " Baby's First Sweat Shop Kit" but the thread itself is great, there is a nice variety of colors and the spindles are sturdy enough. It fit perfectly on my simple singer. All in all a great set for a great value! Would gladly buy again.

Bought these to use with my sewing machine and they work great! No thread broke in the machine, and the colors are very beautiful. Great product for the price, will definitely buy again!

Fairly impressed with the deal. The thread is sturdy and doesn't snap under tension. The color selection is fantastic and it's very easy to slap the little plastic sleeve back on the spool when you want to put it back into it's slot.My only beef would be; that on some of the spools, you need a team of Forensic scientists to find the thread end!!

They work well. Maybe not top quality. But they get the job done.

The colors are nice, however the quality is not very good. We had a lot of problem while using this thread with our sewing machine. We tried another sort of thread (higher quality) and it went well, but the quality of this one is not. Do not save money on the quality of the thread, but good quality even if it is more expensive, you will save a lot of time and you will get a nice job.
