They are made of a thin metal but they are thicker than the tradition wire hanger. Very strong. Will definitely buy again.

These hangers are amazing. Very sturdy and will not bend, even the heaviest winter coats will not slip off. I use these for my coat closet to replace the plastic and less durable velvet hangers. It is definitely worth the investment.

I'm probably kinda strange for this, but I'm a real hanger snob. These are fantastic. They are sleek, strong, nicely weighted, and actually ...kinda luxurious. 5mm is a nice thickness and I can't imagine these hangers not handling anything reasonable thrown at them. All together they are quite heavy and I think if they were thicker the weight might not be worth the seemingly unnecessary added strength. They are quite perfect, I'd say.

These thick and sturdy stainless steel hangers will not go all bendy (or rust!) like dry-cleaners twisty-wire hangers, but they are thinner than flimsy plastic sets. The rubber coating makes them grippy as the easy-break flocked types. I can hang a silky shirt--or a heavy barn coat over snow pants--without any worries. Wouldn't it be great if these came in colors? For now, I'm tickled pink with these durable, anti-slip, and space-conserving hangers.

I have 6-8 heavy Carhart jackets on a coat rack in my garage. I was tired of trying to hang them up and always slipping off or simply deforming the general purpose hangers. If I did get one coat to hang I would go out later to find it on the floor. These work great not only are they are made out of steel but have the none slip coating. If you have heavy work coats and are sick and tired of the hangers you have failing, these are the hangers for you.
