I recently took the Marretoo Car Roof Bag on a long road trip, and I have to say, it made the journey so much easier! We were heading off for a week-long camping trip and needed extra space for all our gear. This roof bag provided 21 cubic feet of storage, which was more than enough to fit everything we needed without overcrowding the car. I was able to pack up camping chairs, a tent, sleeping bags, and more—essentially everything we needed for the trip—and still had room to spare. One of the things I really appreciated was how well the bag performed in less-than-ideal weather. It rained during part of our trip, but the bag kept everything dry and secure. The material feels tough and durable, and the zippers were easy to operate, even with gloves on. The anti-slip mat that came with it was also super helpful in keeping the bag stable on the roof, preventing any movement while driving. I also found the installation to be surprisingly easy. We have a roof rack, and it took just a few minutes to strap the bag down securely. It stayed in place the whole trip without any shifting, and I didn’t have to worry about it at all. When we weren’t using it, the bag folds up neatly, making storage a breeze, which was a bonus. However, I did notice one small thing—because the bag is on the larger side, it can look a bit bulky when it’s not fully packed. If you only have a few things to carry, it might seem a little excessive. Also, if you’re loading it onto a higher car, you might need a little extra reach to get it securely placed, but once it’s on, it’s all good. In all, I’m really happy with the Marretoo Car Roof Bag. It made our trip so much smoother by freeing up space inside the car, and knowing everything was protected from the weather was a huge relief. If you’re looking for a way to bring extra luggage along on a road trip or vacation, I highly recommend this bag. It’s durable, waterproof, and super easy to use!

So i planned the holiday was 300 miles away from home I had a sneaky feeling the luggage tent ect wasn’t going to fit. I was absolutely correct after a lot of research I came across this bag I didn’t have roof bars so it seemed perfect. I can tell you now I have done over 600 miles with this roof bag on and it did not move an inch. It stayed still and sturdy on the motorways. It is really good quality and brilliant value for money. We did have some rain but it seemed to keep everything dry. Really straight forward to put on. We managed to get so much in there and now won’t be going camping without it. I highly recommend.

Spacious and sturdy

We have a 7 seater but no room for luggage. I looked at the cost to add rails and a hard case but that would have cost over £600 which wasn’t worth it for one journey of 4.5 hours. I read the reviews on this product and one in particular that said they used it for a 4 hour journey, perfect. It was easy to fit, took me about 20 minutes the first time (in the dark at 6am) and then 5-10 minutes the second time. It was simply to remove, once you have done it once, it’s then easy. Looks good and I was impressed with the build quality and how it kept everything dry. I was worried at first and drove cautiously. I did have to stop after 40 minutes as I hadn’t tightened the straps enough. It slide back about 20cm when I got up to 55mph. Once straps tightened after it had settled into its place, and drove for another 1.5 hours for a coffee and tightened the straps again to make sure. I was able to reach 70mph - 75mph with no worries. We then continued the rest of our 2+ hour journey without stopping. On our return journey, we stopped after 1 hour to tighten the straps now it had all settled into place and then continued the rest of the 3.5 hour journey home without stopping. We drove back during storm darragh, heavy winds and rain, all our luggage was dry and not affected. I highly recommend this product and look forward to our next trip to use again. I saved myself £600, what a great purchase.

I, like others, read the reviews carefully before purchasing. So it's only fair that I also add one! Really impressed with our first use this weekend (2hrs each way on dual carriageway and country roads). It does take a bit of time to set up but I expected that. I'm sure it'll be quicker the more it is used. Like some advised, I stopped about 10 minutes into each journey to check the tightness of the straps. The first journey I had to tighten; no issues the second journey. We bought the 21l version. It fitted a camping table, 3 large camping chairs, 2 smaller ones, 4 airbed boxes, a large rucksack, a small suitcase, various bits of sporting equipment and 4 pillows. Really impressed with the capacity. Overall, if you don't want to spend a fortune on rail bars and a box, then this is something I would seriously consider. I suppose the ONLY thing you may wish to take into consideration is it does sit on the car roof, albeit with an anti-slip mat. I have quite an old car so wasn't bothered if it got a few scratches - it didn't btw - but is worth adding to the review.

Freed up so much room in the car. Family of 5 and a dog and 80% of our stuff fitted in with easy! All of it would have had we not had a golf bag and clubs in there!! Easy enough to set up just takes a little bit of time 1st time round to just make sure your all correct. We had a bit of rain and everything was dry when we opened it. I would definitely recommend this bag. We have a Zafira and it was great fit.

Seems really well made. Materials are of a very sturdy quality. Can't wait to test it out soon and enjoy the extra space in the car. I will be attaching mine to ford roof bars for extra security. Very large; I cant see an issue getting a good 6 or 8 holdalls in it and more stuff. It's hard to judge at the minute. It will probably take more as you can stack upwards. But I'd say it will hold more than enough for a family of 4.
