Be careful, these bars are not advertised as being flared, but they are. This is important because we spend most of our time on the brake levers when riding. I switched from a 42 to a 40 so I ordered a pair of these in a 40. As you can see, in the advertising, they show 40 mm from center to center of the bar ends. Unfortunately, because of the flare, they are slightly under 38 mm at the hoods.
