Worth the extra cash!
I have had this die grinder for 6 months now. I have to say it has been the best one I have had in a long time. I'm a welder and I use this just about everyday. I keep it oiled with air tool oil and I work it pretty hard most of the time. It keeps its power and does the job. The barrel can get fairly warm after using it for awhile, so gloves are definitely recommended. Also it comes with a two year warranty which you activate through their website. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a reliable heavy duty die grinder.

very good quality, very good usability, worth the money
I have a few of these in my shop and they are worth the money. You'll notice right away that they don't rotate in your hand and are actually pretty comfortable to use despite the fact that they look too square to be comfortable. What you won't notice right away is that they will last much longer than a lot of other die grinders and keep their power instead of having reduced power over time and increased vibration from worn parts. I have one that is probably about 6 years old and have thrown away several newer die grinders from other manufactures as their inards wear out, but my CP860 is still going strong with plenty of power to get the job done.

finally a die grinder I don't have to be affraid that it will fall apart in my hand while I'm using it
I brought a few other grinder, sure cheaper then this one, before but after a little time of use they all literally fall apart in my hand. I got frustrated and chose this more expensive one, thinking it will probably pay for it self in the long run. I have this grinder for about a month now, using it almost everyday and I'm very happy with it. You can tell as soon as you see this grinder the first time, it ain't that cheaply made what you can get for like twenty dollar. I'm sure it will be a great tool for a while, after all if you use these kind of tools, you know they don't last forever. But I'm expecting to use this one for a couple of years at least. I would recommend this tool to anyone who is looking for a reliable, well built grinder for a regular usage. (Just as a note, if you just have a one time job, any cheap one will be fine for that. )

Great tool, runs fine, does its job.
Great tool, runs fine, does its job. Made in Japan. Some reviews say all metal construction; FAKE NEWS (for you Trump idiots), the end cap on the collet end is plastic. Comes with a pair of high quality collet wrenches. Collet seems to hold 1/4" shank tooling fine. Trigger safety is solid and easy to operate. Tool is loud but low frequency.

Now I know what a die grinder is
I had bought the $20 cheapie from HFS and what do you know but that it was an expensive frustration: It ate a lot of compressed air but gave me no power. I was contemplating going electric but I decided to give pneumatic one more try (for safety reasons). The Chicago Pneumatic is a revelation. You want power? It's got power. You want collets that don't slip. These work fine. Really, I wish it was cheaper, but I'm happy I bought it.

Best power
Pass on the ingersoll rand and get this one. You can feel the quality when you hold it. It has alot of power. I am a huge fan of CP after making this purchase. Bought a CP nibbler and it is of the same high quality.update:still holding up great and have been checking out purchasing more tools of this brand. hard to find a tool of this quality without out spending a few hundred.
