Works Perfect
This tool does exactly as intended. I did not expect it to perform exactly like an electric model but the end result is the same as an electric. Be sure to keep the spreader lubricated. From reading some prior negative posts, I think these people are not lubricating the spreader mechanism. I got the same tool as everyone else and it works as it should. If your profession is a Plumber I would get an Electric model, but Great tool for the home DIY'er.

Excellent choice and value
Excellent quality / price half of big box stores plus 3/8 head, as package contains four heads just need to manually rotate the head while expanding tubing, 3/8 exceptionally easy, 1/2 inch easy, 3/4 requires medium effort but very doable for average person 1 in requires some upper strength. Tool will last for years for standard projects, but if your doing a whole house or tight confined quarters spend the money on a electric self-rotating unit. Did about 30 connection flawlessly.

Great for small diameter pex
Purchased this for a DIY plumbing project. The product works well and gets the job done. The difficulty in pumping is the reason for 4 stars. I am in average shape for someone in their 30s. It is very easy to use on smaller diameter pex but very difficult to use on the 3/4" and 1" piping. For 1", I had to take breaks after each fitting and needed to brace one lever against my leg, the floor, or wall depending on where I was working.

Good for small projects
For small projects around the house, this works well. I was able to do small projects (maybe 5-10 expansions per project) on 1/2", 3/4" and 1" pex-A without much struggle. If I was to be doing this full time or taking on a big project, I'd probably splurge for a power tool.

Good manual pex pipe expander
Very good value. Does the job. Note that it requires arm strength to operate.

Well worth it.
Well made and a lot easier than other users made it out to be. Some said it was very hard to pull the handles together however depending on the person its fairly easy. 1" is a bit tough but manageable and most will not use it for 1". It does fit into some tighter spaces and really not limited any more than the power expanders out there. Definitely be sure to do 1/4 turn rotations when expanding to create the proper "even" grooving in the pipe and not to over expand the pipe "fittings should not fall or wiggle in the pipe. Fitting should have a very small amount of resistance when sliding it in; to the stop point". I did approximately (15) 1", (50) 3/4", and (50-75) 1/2" fittings. I believe if your doing your whole house like I did its fine. Your's and neighbors well... maybe split the cost of a power expander with your neighbor and take on the whole neighborhood :)

Great tool for the price. Handles are a bit shorter than others I’ve used so the 3/4 and 1 inch pipe are a bit tough but with a little muscle it gets the job done. Would definitely buy again.
