Subaru Tweeter Kicker Speaker Kit for 2012-2021 Impreza WRX STi Forester Crosstrek - H631SFJ101 - Genuine OEM

NOTE 1: NOT FOR TACOMA WITH JBL SOUND SYSTEM NOTE 2: Disconnect the negative battery terminal before doing your work, the odds of anything bad happening are extremely low but there is an air bag in each front windshield post -- you don't want to have any misadventures while upgrading your sound. These take less than an hour to install in a 3 gen Tacoma WITHOUT JBL SYSTEM and are 100% plug and play. The bolt holes are identical and the electrical plug matches the Toyota plug perfectly. The only tools needed are a small plastic pry bar, a 10 MM wrench and 10 MM socket. There is a small latch to press on the plug and the connector slides right off. The factory tweeters do the job but not with any enthusiasm what so ever, lifeless really. These Subaru / Kickers (they actually have a small K emblem in the tweeter grille) really add some punch and brightness to the sound. They seem to play just a bit louder than the factory parts so the sound stage is moved up in the truck, the music isn't down in the door so much. Vocals are clearer and brighter and the overall sound is much more detailed with more air or headroom. Great and super easy upgrade, well worth it. Enjoy!

Easy install, improves the audio by a good margin, worth the price.

I installed these in my 2023 Subaru Outback Wilderness. They make the stereo sound crisper, or less muffled. It’s not an earth shattering difference, but definitely noticeable and worth the money. It’s probably the first thing I should have changed on the car. They are direct plug-ins, but not direct mounting. I used self-tapping license plate screws (made for tapping plastic capture nuts) to tap the square holes in the speaker bucket under the speaker grille. The square holes closest to the windshield make the most sense. I also elongated the holes in the speaker brackets. That all made for a very clean and secure installation. It took about an hour to do the whole job, because I was very careful to not overdo it. Do yourself a favor and get a small, low profile ratchet with a Phillips bit to make the job go faster. I tried to post photos numerous times, but Amazon won’t upload them for reason. I’ve never had that problem before.

The clarity is noticeable and gives a slight bump in volume. It’s a simple two minute installation and are plug and play. On their own it’s not really going to completely change how the system sounds but at least the audio doesn’t get drowned out by the bass.

These made-for-Subaru Kicker dash Tweeters are a great quick and easy upgrade to many Subaru models that came with awful dash tweeter with plastic cones and no magnets. The stock OEM sound muddy and flat. These babies changed that entirely and now the sound is crisp and clear, and the improvement is night and day. I can hear a singer take a breath, or fingers move along strings again! Just holding one of the OEM tweeters in one hand with one of the Kickers in the other... you can feel that the Kickers are solid and quality made. They easily weight 4 times what the OEM junk tweeters weigh. Note: This unit isn't intended for the Outback, but with simple minor modification to the mounting holes on the Kicker units, cutting the holes into channels (slots) with a dremel tool, makes mounting easy. The connectors are the same so they are plug and play.

These sound great of course coming from kicker. The clarity is awesome without being too bright. They fit perfectly didn’t give me a problem when installing them. I didn’t realize how poorly my original tweeters functioned until I used these. Kickers tweeters function so great I’m going to replace the door speakers soon.

Yes, you can remove the factory speakers from the dash in a 5th Gen 4Runner and these will plug in directly to factory harness, no mods to wiring harness at all. However, for all the positive things I've read and heard on forums and video clips I was not that real impressed at all. They are a SLIGHT improvement but not worth the price that these are listed at. Also, when I received the box they APPEARED to be repacked. The tape was loose and label torn but when I opened them they looked new still. Not sure.

I bought these for my 2017 Wrx, definitely improves sound quality (highs) better than the stock tweeters. Very easy to install plug & play. As for value depends if you are good soldering wires & experienced with installing car audio components & have the tools to do so(I do not), because you can for sure get better quality tweeters for a cheaper price. In all I believe they are worth the money I went a head & purchased the the complete kicker upgrade (door speakers & subwoofer) the car should of had this set up from the dealer. Another note I have a upgraded android head unit, sound quality gets another notch up because of the better EQ on the android unit. Hope that helps!

These are a direct replacement for the Toyota Tacoma 3rd Gen dash tweeters. No need for an adapter they simply plug right in. Sound is a crisp and clear sound, a big improvement clarity wise from factory tweeters.
