Hilltop Energy Gels - Natural Honey Energy Gel - Original - 12x30g

These are my favourite energy gels. Honey based giving great energy boost. Excellent quality, smooth texture and easy to swallow even on the longest of ultras. Great tasting and effective. Over all great value for money and highly recommended

Used these for training & marathon day. Much much nicer than normal gels & no stomach cramps or toilets dashes. They’re sweet with a nice salty aftertaste. Nice to have on race day porridge too

Good if you want something natural instead of classic gels. A bit too sweet maybe because of the honey, but natural alternative and money value.

Thought i’d give these a try instead of the usual energy gels. Taste is really good, but quite strong. Not sure how many you could stomach over a long session, but definitely a good option to add into the mix, with other gels and bars

Wanted these to use during a marathon because they were natural. I would say they are decent value for money however they did leave a metallicy taste in my mouth and they weren’t the easiest to open. The size of them was good to carry in my running belt. DO BE WARNED THAT IF IN CARRY ON LUGGAGE AT THE AIRPORT THEY WILL BE STOPPED AND CHECKED WHICH TOOK CONSIDERABLE TIME.

Natural energy boost .Like a lot of people I've taken up exercise in the last few months. In my case running . I am no spring chicken and found I was flagging in the last few km of my run. I tried these and found taking one gel before I set off meant I had the energy to finish my runs strongly. Being natural and only having honey and salts means you don't have to worry about what your taking and they taste good too . Really recommend these

Best gels I’ve tried for someone with a sensitive stomach.

Would give 4/5 for contents - I like the taste, they seem effective, and I like the idea of something more natural than artificially flavoured and sweetened maltodextrin. Just a bit too thick and sickly or contents would be 5/5. But the packaging really affects the experience of using it on the bike, and the packaging is terrible - the contents are quite thick, but the opening is tiny and often the contents just don’t come out at all. You need to tear it again further down from the top, and this requires two hands plus teeth. The ‘anti litter’ tab is far too thin and flimsy and tears instantly along with the main bit.
