Better then I thought it would be!
Forget the notion that you need to have pets to buy the Revolution Pet Pro, its incredible in more ways then I thought it would be. Whoever designed the molding process for the parts is an engineering genius. It was very simple to put together (and take apart). There is a quick set of instructions on a card (if you deplore reading instructions) and thankfully for people like me, a complete instructional brochure on how to take it apart, change the brushes, replace a belt, etc. Didn't have to *download* a PDF... thank you Bissell. This machine completely comes apart for thorough cleaning, they even give you this tool that hooks the last of the carpet fibers from the front suction area. You can also take the tank apart and clean that thoroughly. It all goes back together easily and tells you with a *click* sound you seated the part correctly. How does it clean though, especially since I don't have pets... My carpet is off white natural color, shorter pile and shows everything. It has never been professionally cleaned, only spot cleaned here and there for the past 16 years. Even though we don't have pets, we have *feet* and there were traffic areas, and spots that seemed to be permanent. The whole process of filling the tank and removing the dirty water tank is easy and once you do it several times, its a no-brainer. I used hot tap water and little bit of Folex since I don't care for that artificial smell of chemicals in my house. I cleaned a full living room, hallway, and four bedrooms. Ran flawlessly and my carpets look brand new, seriously...a very good job. I doubt hiring someone would have produced better results. It was more then satisfying to dump that dirty water from the tank, omg gross stuff. It did take half the day, but that was several large rooms, and I went over them a couple of times, so I ran this machine for hours without a hiccup. I also used the upholstery brush which is very easy to attach, again superb results in a very tight area. I really suggest you take a few minutes and read the brochure, you can see how to clean the tank and the float, how to take it apart and *own* this machine. Also, Bissell has a full range of replacement parts, which I appreciate to maintain the machine. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

I love this carpet cleaner. BUY IT!!!
I absolutely love the ease of use with this carpet cleaner and how well it cleans. For years I'd have my bedrooms, stairs and landings at home and vacation rental properties professionally cleaned which would cost me at least $125 each clean and even more for stainguard and upholstery when needed so I felt it only made sense to try to clean them myself with this lighter weight vacuum cleaner like carpet cleaner and I'm so very glad I did.Pro's:- Saving tons if $$$ a year on carpet cleans.- Easy to fill hot water tank and dump dirty water tank. I didn't notice any spillage at all.- you can clean a good amount of space before having to add more water/solution to the clean water tank and before needing to empty the dirty water tank. No constant stopping to do this like I did in the past with a different carpet cleaner.- Lightweight to pick up if necessary. I easily load and unload it into the back seat floor of my Chevy Volt standing upright with the front seat slid forward. I'm a 118lb woman.- the gray plastic tool that comes with it easily slides into the sectioning opening and behind the rollers to clean dust and carpet fibers out which is necessary to do after each clean to keep it working properly.- the attachments for stairs/upholstery work great. I've only used them for stairs and they did awesome. I'll add another review once I use it for a sofa, chair and ottoman that needs cleaning.- I have a teen daughter who chooses never to wipe/blot any spills ever so our carpets up the stairs, landing and into her room were horrible after us being home 24hrs the last year and a half since the beginning of covid. I attached AFTER photos of her room and BEFORE/AFTER photos of the small landing. This cleaner is awesome. I did use the regular Bissell cleaner and mixed with Resolve steam cleaner in the tank. I don't have pets at home but did use the pet cleaner at the vacation home due to customers sometimes bringing their pets and it works great.- the CleanShot sprayer helps to saturate any spots and I use the brushes on each side of the machine to work in the formula to the spot before allowing the rotating brushes to clean the entire area and that seems to work well. I usually spray resolve spot cleaner or Shout on spots before I begin my cleans. This time there were a few spots that didn't come out until after I used the clean shot. And there are a few other spots that lightened after clean shot, but may never come out. I'm going to try baking soda and vinegar for those.Cons:- I had make a few passes to get some areas clean but to be fair it has been at least a year and a half since carpets were cleaned so expect to go over areas at least 4 times on a Deep Clean setting for the best clean for dirtier carpets. Still takes little time to complete. If you clean your carpets regularly this won't be necessary.- I'd suggest/request that Bissell place rubber where you hold the handle. Due to the back and forth of pushing the unit. My hand glides a bit on the hard plastic handle and I hand blisters/become sore from the friction. Upon first use I wrapped a cleaning cloth around the plastic handle to have some cushion to protect my hand.- If the unit is powered ON for a bit it can get very hot and makes a different sound seemingly when that happens so I check to be sure the clean water/solution tank isn't empty and will turn off the unit for about 10 min to let it cool down then continue once cool.Overall I'm very excited about this carpet cleaner and have recommended it to a few people already. Thanks for this product Bissell and thanks to everyone who posted their reviews to help me with my decision in purchasing a great carpet cleaner!! I bought a different cleaner a few years ago that was horrible. I returned it.BUY THIS!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

It works... perhaps too well!
My first thought when unboxing was that this is a solid, sexy machine. Assembly took about 5 minutes: 3 minutes unboxing, 1 minute searching for a Philips-head screwdriver (for just a single screw) and 1 minute to put together. Just follow the easy 4-step directions and you're golden.I first tried the hose attachment and Stain Trapper tool on some hard-to-reach areas with nasty pet stains. It was easy to connect and did the job well enough. A little pre-soak helped, then some brushing movements and then suck up the nastiness. I have yet to try it on stairs or furniture.I then went over my nasty, pet-soiled, human-soiled carpeting that I probably haven't properly cleaned in 15 years. Having a new puppy in the house now made it mandatory. Here is where the "too well" fits in. I cannot believe I have allowed my house to be so disgusting. The evidence is now in the toilet.I think this worked as well as any commercial carpet cleaner I have rented. It cleaned, it scrubbed, it fluffed, and it dried. I could not be more happy with the performance. But to put the icing on the cake was the cleanup! The dirty tank is just a dump and flush, rinse, repeat. The water-vac part (nozzle) rinsed right out taking all the residual dog fur with it. The front snapped open to reveal the rollers, and both were just a rinse and a pluck. And oh boy... this thing picked up more embedded dog fur than my trusty Oreck by far.The only downside I find at this point is the capacity of both the fresh water and dirty water tanks. Even though the dump and refill are super-easy (the easiest I have ever used), the small tanks run out quickly when in deep-clean or max modes. If you're just looking for a fluff and run, it will go pretty far.Definitely a great machine!
