Cold Sanctuary (John Decker Supernatural Thrillers) Paperback – June 17, 2016

I have to go back and read book 1. This was an interesting story line. Kept me away from things i should have been doing. Pretty much read it straight thru. Looking forward to reading more.

John Decker hunts a man-made monster in an obscure Alaskan abandoned Naval research base. After loosing his sheriff job due some bad press, John is forced to take a job as a monster hunter. Interesting & thrilling storyline as John unravels the secret of how the monster was made. John must figure out how to stop its killing spree & try not to become one of its victims.Quick & interesting read, well developed characters & monsters, a great supernatural thriller!

I e joyed reading this book as I have enjoyed all of the John Decker books. I found d it exciting and hard to put down. His monsters are always different and believable and his descriptive language draws one into the story. I can't wait for the next John Decker thriller.

I really like Strong's dialog, and I love the short chapters, it makes the story pace seem more exciting. The character development is better than the first book, now I want to know what happens to people. I do have some issues with the logic and science, one I can't say because its a spoiler. But most readers probably won't notice or care... This is a monster thriller, after all. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

The story is fast paced and I did not want to stop reading until the end.The only thing that concerned me was the inaccuracies about firearms used in the books, which is the reason for 4 stars and not more. Don’t worry about them and it is an excellent read.

The characters are really developing well. They are likable and interesting. You find yourself loudly cheering for the good guys.

I like a good detective story. Enter John Decker. Louisiana loup-garoup. All the makings of a great story . Characters with depth, development and evolving. There’s book 1 and 2. I’m ready for the rest.

Mr.Strong chooses his we know who dunnit carefully, small towns we can identify with, not to many characters, a fluid writing style. Yes the stories sound familiar, but John Deckers as the small town cop was a good choice. A humble man, despised and blamed for everything by everybody apart from his loved ones, is in this case a lot better than a machingun toting Rambo, or an adventurous professor. It becomes difficult to write something original but Mr.Strong blends spooky/supernatural and monster stories in a detective form,that reads in one go and keeps you asking for more. Well i admit freely i will be asking for more and often. Mr.Strong i'm starting on nr.3, don't let yr fans waiting, like Mr. Hammott.

Was ihm vor Ort nicht leicht gemacht wird...Wissenschaft, lokaler Aberglaube und provinzielle Vorurteile vermischen sich in diesem Thriller zu einem hochbrisanten Gebräu, das einfach nach mehr verlangt! Nicht zögern, zugreifen!

Thus us my 2cd book. I have enjoyed more than some known authors, p, fresh in thought. One gets to relate and like characters or dislike.

The two books iv read so far have been good, they defo kept me tuned in at least. If you do read hope you enjoy.
