Great reel at a great price
Had older versions of these reels before, very smooth, not too big and great strength, caught plenty of large pike so it's no lightweight.Great value. Get lots for your money for a lower budget priced reel. All in all, would buy again.

Great for the money
This was discounted to 20 for size 3000 exclusively used for bass fishing.It's noisy with my braid. I'm not sure if it's the line rub resonating because of the roller not working but it's noisy when reeling in .Nice and light and the action smooth but that's about It .-------Update since last review to 5 stars.Long term over summer, it's a great reel. Simple yet strong and very light. I have the 3k and probably the best spinning reel I've owned. The initial noise problems was my braid on the rings.It got submerged so I had to strip and clean but it was dry inside . Easy so strip and maintain and simple construction therefore should last years.I've bought 2 so I can keep a spare spool and have a spare body for parts.

Fine for the occasional angler.
The media could not be loaded. This reels is fine for its price but mine needed to be adjusted as the line lay was wonky.For the price, it’s a good standby reel or summer reel. If you fish a lot, invest in something a bit pricier.

Smooth! dinky wee thing!
After my first parcel going missing amazon sent replacement, this is a fantastic little reel! I wasn't sure between the 1000 or the 2000 size for my light gear but happy with this purchase. 10 mins after arriving I had mono backer and braid on it casting weights into the garden, looking forward to hitting the sea this weekend to put it to a reel test! (see what I did there!)

Cheap but nasty
I’m disappointed in this entry level reel from Abu. Everything I’ve had from them has been quality and a good price, but this reel broke on its first use, and on the handle side so it punched a hole in my hand. The quality is really first and cheap.
