Beautiful place mats that look attractive and are easy to keep clean. Well sized and good value

I bought two sets of these very lovely mats. They have to be carefully cared for if they are going to remain at their best. By which I mean they should be wiped, dried and stored between each use. I have been buying Pimpernel mats for years and have left them out to be used over and over; left with water, food spills, wine etc that would eventually get sponged off and improperly dried. The result would be first a little peeling and a stain, then the damaged areas would multiply and expand leaving the mats pitted, peeled and unfit for company. These two sets are now my “for company” mats and so far are holding up beautifully with the proper care. So yes I highly recommend them for their size (large), beauty and quality, with the caveat that if you don’t care for them properly, you’ll end up disappointed with their durability..
