Yamaha XJR replacement
Perfect fit for a 2000 Yamaha XJR 1300. Bought to replace the existing item that leaked fuel into the engine. Will no longer be vacuum controlled but this gives more confidence that fuel won’t leak into engine again when parked. This item requires a 6mm fuel hose so you should also buy a 6mm to 10mm reducer to fit the existing Yamaha fuel line.

I does the job and good value for money, but rusts quickly
Its been a while since I bought this item, which is a good thing because now I can tell you that its only drawback is that the front face is base steel and untreated, so it rusts after a few months in the damp weather. Pity I didn't spot this at the time I bought it, because a simple coat of a decent quality laquer or paint could have prevented this happening. Something I would have expected the manufacturer to do and when I buy the next one for my next rebuild shortly, I'll be happy to buy the same thing again and laquer it myself before fitting.

Just like the original
A perfect fit to replace the old leaky one. Works like a dream. No more fuel dripping down my leg.

So easy to fit
Easy to fit, no more wet leg but I miss the perfume I used to wear

Works well
Great product. Works well. To keep it looking new I gave it a coat of clear nail varnish ( which is petrol resistant) fitted perfectly.

Fixed the problem cheaply and works great.
Purchased to replace a Yamaha generator fuel tap, original part was ten times the price. So this was a welcome fix for little generator perfect 👍

Do not waste your money on this. Poor quality, faulty build and parts.
Ordered this to fit my KLR 650. Fit nicely and looked quite smart to begin with, but started leaking fuel straight away on use. The faceplate is upside down as you look at it so all the writing is the wrong way, and the 2 screws had their heads stripped on install. These are quite literally screwed in, it wasn't a bolt and threaded hole on the casing, more like a tiny woodscrew. When I got them out, the tap had a casting fault and was seated a bit off, and the assembly did not have an O ring to prevent fuel from leaking out. A total waste of money, the only redeeming factor is that I will salvage the 2 fuel filter ends and the tap gasket to reuse on my old tap.
