Works great. Lasts forever with the Samsung 18650-30Q 3000mah
This is awesome! My battery that came with the Fatsharks goggles was a 1000mah battery. If I did not fly for a few days that battery would go dead. Now with this, I charge up my Samsung INR18650-30Q 3000mAh and it seems like I have unlimited power. I do not charge my batteries through this devices because you can't do a balance charge (not that you need to balance charge all the time). Also, these batteries are unprotected so they can accidentally get over charged. I purchased a Li-ion charger that will charge the batteries correctly. I have seen people add a wire to activate the balance port correctly but it's just as easy to pop the batteries in my charger. Plus I rather leave my charger for my flight batteries.

It works. Convenient but not great quality.
It worked for what I wanted it for. It was my go-to when I used Fatshark goggles as the bix fits the goggle strap perfectly. I already had a bunch of 18650 cells, so this was a cheaper option than buying a 'goggle battery.' I did like the fact that it comes with the 'balance' adapter to run the goggle fan. I also liked the LED level indicator lights. However, after just 10-12 times of opening the battery compartment, the latch broke and I ended up having to tape the door shut.

Best option for longer use with goggles. Also cheaper in the long run as you don't have to buy anymore Fat Shark packs!!!
I bought this as I was tired of stuffing flight batteries in my pocket to power my Skyzone V+ goggles. I also forgot the power cord on a couple of events and had to borrow fatshark batteries so I could race. I liked the idea of the Fatshark battery on my Skyzone strap as it is hard to forget it when I'm heading to an event. Others are buying 18650 batteries and soldering on power leads and balance ports to get longer flight times. This to me is MUCH better as there is no soldering involved. I just pop in two freshly charged 18650's and I'm good all day. If I drain the batteries, I just pop in my spares that have been sitting for a week and I'm good to go for much longer. Others complain that they don't like the idea of having to charge the 18650's?!? Makes no sense as the 18650 chargers are cheap, besides it's a battery you charge many every time you want to fly?!? The added bonus is the battery checker that is implemented it the Fat Shark case. So far no downsides to buying this as it is AWESOME.

This is not a battery
First, I have to accept that what I don't like about this product is my own fault for not completely reading the item description. However, in the photo, it appeared an exact match for the original Fatshark goggle battery. The bad; This, as stated, is only a battery case, in which no battery is included. While the in the photo its appearance is original, the actual size it considerably larger. The good; Since it is only a case, it is simple to remove, charge the common 18650 batteries required. It has a built in balance lead that will work with the goggle fan. And while larger than the original Fatshark battery, it is just barely small enough to be able to squeeze it into the original elastic headband battery holder.

Way better than the LiPo, but...
This is far superior to that LiPo pile of junk Fatshark includes with their $500 goggles, which already crapped out on me, and Fatshark wants me to spend $10 to send them a $2 item so they can spend $10 to send me a new one. Don't buy the Fatshark LiPo. Get this, and get 4 18650s with a charger and call it good. I'd get maybe 90 minutes out of the LiPo, but I get at least 4 hours with this and 3500mAh Samcung 18650 cells. No way their LiPo is 1800mAh. Unfortunately, just the other day the ground cable between the case and plug got weak. Went out to try and fly, and couldn't. Another POS Fatshark battery, just like the one that came with the goggles. No wonder so many pilots opt for a LiPo that doesn't have Fatshark's name on it. I took this POS apart and cut the cord to resolder it to the board so I could continue to use it. The wires in the plug wire are crap. Cheap aluminum stranded crap wire. Not even copper coated aluminum (CCA), but plain old aluminum. No wonder it broke so easily. I've not even had this battery for 4 months yet, and I fly maybe a couple times per week. UPDATE: Cable broke again. This time really close to the barrel connector. So now I get to replace the cable/barrel connector entirely. I take really good care of my equipment. This thing is just made with cheap wires. Oh, but if I were to contact Fatshart and tell them about their crap battery box, they'd ask me to mail it to them for repair. Seriously, stop wasting my time with junk like this.
