I bought this when it was on sale for half off, which is a nice price. I did some serious research on amazon for a picnic/beach blanket that was big enough, good price, soft fabric, and most importantly look appealing. It does look pretty much the same in online photos as it does in real life. That was the most important thing, to me, because manly guys may not want to sit on something pink or weird pattern at the beach with people around. It is a cool Aztec-y pattern which you may see in like Mexican rugs. This is definitely the most appealing picnic/beach blanket I have ever seen. For the size, I compared it to my queen bed and it will cover the top of a queen bed almost completely BUT it does not drape over. (I think in the description it says almost a king bed). So, it is nice for 2-3 (may be 4) people with stuff, to sit on. As for the material, the top is a basic fleece fabric; nothing too fancy but is nice. There is little to no padding which is alright for me because I see this as a replacement to beach towels and normal blankets from home. I did machine wash this and it held up! I think that's where a lot of people have issues with picnic blankets. Washed it on delicate, cold water and dryed it on low heat (as the directions say) (and did not dry it the whole time!!! but it still came out almost completely dry). So that is a nice feature. The bottom is like a wind breaker jacket really. I poured litter water on the back and it pebbled off or did not get soaked in. In prolonged use, may be more than an hour, I could see water absorbing through the bottom but not too much. Again, if your already using a bed blanket or towel this is much better for repelling water.The only drawback is folding it back up. If you have ever dealt with a camping sleeping bag and rolling it back up into the case, you'll understand. It took me about 10 minutes of figuring it out, to kind-of fold it together right. I didn't get it exactly right but still got it to velco back together. You have to fold it in thirds, like a letter, then in half and roll. It did fit in my picnic basket once velco-ed and in half again.Would I pay full price for this item, possibly. My main reasons for buying this one is because of the cool pattern and the size. My boyfriend is 6 foot so if he wants to lay down at the beach on it, a throw size blanket will not do. Which makes this great. I love it for the half off/sale price.

Two thumbs up for the best outdoors blanket. I used it at the beach, picnic, camping, hiking, and tailgating. It's a perfect size for two adult and a small dog (15lb).The back is a waterproof and easy to fold. Your bottom will be comfortable and will stay dry! Don't let little wet ground, grass, and sand ruin your picnic. The fleece is soft and colorful. The design is eyes catching.I bought it in August and the price is high (almost full price). Now is 50%! I should just wait but oh well. It was perfect for summer! Worth every pennies! Highly recommended!

I wanted to like this. I guess I do, but for $40, I was just hoping for something more. I love the design and the color. It actually rolls up and stores pretty easy too. It's just lacking...something. It feels very lightweight to me. And the layers, the fleece-like material on top, and the vinyl whatever backing are not attached, so you get this pocket in the middle. I guess that is my major complaint, it just feels cheap. I've used it a few times, and it's got the job done. I've yet to wash it but just have a feeling it's not going to go well.

I like that this blanket is light and easy to travel with. However, the fleece part is attached only at the perimeter so it slides around quite easily. Also I would only recommend using this product on dry or damp ground. If you are standing or sitting in this blanket atop very wet ground it will soak through and get you wet. Kind of disappointing.

I was so excited about this blanket. It's easy to fold back into its compact purse-like carrier, is perfect in size when opened and I dig the colors. The HUGE con is that it still gets damp through the layers. That was my real reason for the purchase and I'm so bummed!And I swear the grass I lay it on isn't freshly watered.

Bought for being a car blanket. One side is fleece and the other side it a water wicking material. It fold up and rolls up nicely to make a compact size for storing in the car. Burs and grass don't stick to the slick side, very nice to not have to pick them out.

I purchased this to go to a 4-day music festival where we would be on the lawn. We loved it!! It was nice and big, enough for 3 adults to sit or lay on, plus was waterproof as stated. Also, it rolled up quick and easy and is very lightweight. I was able to attach the straps to my backpack for easy carrying. Great purchase! This is our new family outdoor blanket. Thanks again!!
