2013 remaster is amazing
LIVE YOUR LIFE BE FREE was Belinda Carlisle's 4th solo album and her least favorite. She was in the midst of a severe drug problem and she was not pleased with how the label was handling her music, song selections etc. Interestingly enough, often when things seem so low, magic can still be made and that is the case here. The title track is a glorious anthem song with Belinda's crystal clear vocals soaring high. This album didn't get a lot of airplay when released so many of her fans didn't give it a fair shot. There are some amazing tracks here like DO YOU FEEL LIKE I FEEL, the romantic HALF THE WORLD and YOU CAME OUT OF NOWHERE. The album has a great rock track YOU'RE NOTHING WITHOUT ME which leads into the rocker I PLEAD INSANITY and the haunting EMOTIONAL HIGFHWAY. LITTLE BLACK BOOK and LONELINESS GAME are songs in the true Belinda style. The only filler track I find here is LOVE REVOLUTION and for me the rest of the album is stellar especially with the unexpected I PLEAD INSANITY. This album truly deserves to be rediscovered and it is one of the four solo Belinda albums Edsel Records has released remastered for glorious sound and clarity. It is an awesome 3 disc set. The first cd contains the original album and 4 single versions of songs. Disc 2 has stellar remixes of many of the songs. The title track and I PLEAD INSANITY are true standouts even with the remixes. The third disc is a dvd with a Belinda Carlisle interview as well as 5 promo videos for 5 of the songs. All this comes in a hardback booklet that has private Belinda photos, all the song lyrics as well as a history on the album with a Belinda Carlisle interview as well.If you loved this album then this new remastered edition is a must and if you ignored this in the past, I highly suggest giving it another shot. Though made through hard times Belinda never sounded better and there are some amazing tracks here. This is an essential part of Belinda Carlisle's music history and I highly recommend it.

"And when you free your mind....you will leave your past behind.....!"
I love this album. I remember my brother giving it to me as a present after he just got back from the music store. And I was ecstatic to see that Belinda came out with a new album. I don't have a favorite album, as each album listen reminds me of different times of my life. Heaven on Earth reminds me of the care-free nothing to worry about 80's days. Runaway Horses reminds me of highschool and heartbreak. Live Your Life Be Free was just plain fun and I liked the retro styling. Real was post highschool college years. Live your Life be Free and Do You feel LIke I Feel used to be my favorite tracks off the album back then, but with recent listens....I have to say You Came Out of Nowhere has gone to the top of that list. I was lucky to see her on stage in West Hollywood last year. It was great seeing her sing her singles. Although I could have done with less Go-Go tracks and more of her other solo singles.

Just makes you sing and dance
The cd comes in a mini book with pictures like her other cd. All the songs are great and it will get you on your feet to dance and sing along.

One of my favorite Belinda recordings
I received my Live Your Life Be Free Deluxe Edition today and the sound is AWESOME and it's nice to see pretty much everything on it. I loved the interview with Belinda and seeing the videos for pretty much the first time. This CD was special to me because it was released the day before my birthday and it was at a time when I had moved out of the house and was on my own in the city looking for love. The songs really spoke to me and although it didn't do as well as Heaven On Earth or Runaway Horses it will always hold a special place in my Belinda collection

Excellent
The packaging is amazing, I wish other artists would follow a similar model and offer remastered and expanded editions as Belinda has done. It is great to see all of the videos from the specific album project, as well as the remixed versions with 7" edits. Well thought out and excellent job.

Good Album
This was released without a lot of fanfare and I never heard any selections from it on the radio. I did not know it existed until I bought her greatest hits collection.

2 LP3’s and no LP2
I have had 2 sets sent now with the same problem, there are 2 LP3’s included and no LP2. The correct sleeves are included but one of the discs is duplicated and one is missing. It’s happened twice, it must be a wider issue affecting more copies. This needs recalling by Amazon immediately and the issue correcting. I’ve reached out to Belinda Carlisle today to make her aware of the issue.

My favourite Belinda Carlisle album...
Not a duff track on this. If you like pop you'll love this guaranteed. My personal favourite is "I Plead Insanity" especially that short but oh so good guitar solo.

Missing LP2
As per other reviews I have had 2 sets sent now with the same problem, there are 2 LP3’s included and no LP2. The correct sleeves are included but the sleeve for LP2 contains the vinyl for LP3. I suspect Amazon have a bad batch of them.

Live Your Life Be Free (remastered, deluxe edition)
The third in the instalment of the Edsel Records Belinda Carlisle library is 'Live Your Life Be Free', originally released in 1991 on the MCA Records label in the USA, and the Virgin Records label in the UK.This remastered, duluxe edition includes the 7" versions and most of the 12" mixes, however, for some unknown reason, the 'dance instrumental mix' of 'Live Your Life Be Free' is missing from this release. Anyone know why that might be?Also included are the two B-sides: 'Only a Dream' and 'The Air You Breathe' which are two of my favourite songs.Once again, the DVD contains the music videos that accompany the album's single releases and another really good interview with Belinda by Mark Goodier.Another great reissue - well done Edsel!
