A staple in our house for years. For my husband, not me.
My husband goes through withdrawals if he doesn't have this magazine. I don't read it but it has been a staple in our household for years. I would go with 5 stars but the magazine is getting much thinner with fewer pages and seems to have less content than it did even a year ago. I could live the rest of my life without seeing pictures of dead deer and other things but the hubby is a hunter and a an outdoorsman and enjoys this mag a lot.

This should come with a set of boots.
I really enjoy my outdoor life subscription. Every issue makes me excited to get out of the house and try something new. Definitely as much or more advice and stories than product placement, which is a welcome change from most hunting and fishing periodicals. A good addition to the library of anyone who enjoys wildlife sports.

Great Magazine for All types of Hunter
I really enjoy reading this one. It has great reviews of gear (guns, bows, optics, knives, clothing, etc...) and doesnt seem to favor one type of hunting over the others. Some of the other magazines Ive read are mostly one type (Fishing, etc...) This one is well rounded. They do a graet job on their product reviews and are very thorough with providing their readers the data they got from their tests after reviewing a particular product. They have some good articles on hunting as well as tips and tricks,

Subscriptions so easy!
It never occured to me to sign up for a subscription through Amazon. I love shopping for presents from your site, but never imagined that I could really purchase everything that I wanted. It was really easy to purchase the year long subscription and have it sent right out. They even tell you approximately when it will arrive and keep you updated on its progress. Very, very easy and I would do it all over again!

Good, but not what I expected
This magazine is just alright, for me. I was unaware that it has such a strong hunting/fishing focus. Had I known that, I wouldn't have purchased a subscription. I had thought Outdoor Life would focus more on activities such as hiking, camping, survival skills, gear, etc. However, about half of magazine (I'e received two so far) seems to be dedicated to hunting/fishing (collectively). Things such as fishing lures, lines, deer hunting, and the like fill the publication's pages. I can't comment on the quality of these articles; I was just surprised to see so many of them. Yes, these are outdoor actives, but to include so many in a publication not identified as dedicated to hunting/fishing was unexpected. If you are interested in hunting/fishing, then you will likely enjoy this magazine. I did find the other articles well-written and informative. I just have no interest in huting/fishing, so I find less value in a large portion of the magazine. It seems of a high standard overall though. Just wanted to inform others who may not be aware of the content.

I just renewed my subscription because I love Outdoor Life
Not sure that this is what Amazon wants from me, but I love Outdoor Life and this is actually a subscription renewal. If you know the magazine, then you know why it is so popular. I'll say that ordering it through Amazon is a great idea because they take care of your renewals and also give you a fantastic price. You just need to order once and then forget about renewing. Sit back and enjoy every issue of a great fishing and outdoors mag.

Outdoor life
The Price is good for today. but I've subscribed to Outdoor Life off and on for 50 years. I know it is tough in the magazine business but the issues keep getting smaller and smaller, and the stories just don't seem to be as interesting as they were 20 or 30 years ago. I probably wouldn't do it again if I had it to do over. What used to take me a few days to read I now do in about 1 hour.
