Color and commentary enhance the New Testament reading experience
The non-Gospel books in the New Testament have had trouble keeping my attention along with the few brief footnotes accompanying the text; then I got Acts, Letters, and Revelation from the Word on Fire. This Bible is the favorite Catholic effort among my friends and I among the different flavors along the same genre of the New Testament. The frequent text boxes display thoughts about the related biblical text from various well-known Catholic philosophers throughout the centuries. The biblical text reads very smoothly. There is also classical art and descriptions related to the biblical text. With the color and commentary, rereading the epistle selection for Mass that day from The Word on Fire is a much richer experience than I get from the dry reading of the epistles themselves.

More Than Just A Bible
I use it daily in my prayers. I like that it is in every day language that I can understand unlike my older bible. I love the art work and the many commentaries of various Saints, and Bishop Barron's homilies. All give wonderful insight to the different passages. My only problem is with the printing. I am 84 and it is a little small and light for me. However, I am enjoying using it.

I love the format of this bible!!!
I love the format of this Bible series! In addition to Bishop Barron's commentary, this bible includes commentary from early theologians and more recents saint and church leaders. Each of the commentary sections are formatted differently so that you know what you're reading. It's easy to follow and unique. I love reading all the different commentary sections. It's fantastic! The bible also includes artwork. I wish I would have gotten the vegan leather instead of the paperback. I will have to upgrade at some point. 5 huge stars.
