Really great underwater shots from your phone.
I bought this for my honeymoon in Hawaii expecting to use it while we were snorkeling. It was probably the best investment I made the entire trip. Now I am no scuba diver so I can't speak to whether the thing will really hold up at 40 meters deep or not, but it took some really outstanding pictures and video from the surface of the water down to the 15 or 20 feet I was able to dive. There are a couple of slight drawbacks, but once you get used to using it you can overcome them. One is that the phone can't be unlocked in the water because the touch screen can't be used, the instructions tell you this and how to mitigate it, the downside is that the phone's screen brightness has to be at maximum and it has to be unlocked the entire time which does drain the battery at a very high rate of speed. My iPhone 5 lasted about an hour and half from a full charge. More than sufficient for me, just know it going in and have a full charge. .That's said the pictures turned out beautiful, the colors underwater are vibrant and just as good as the camera normally is out if the water. The video is also cool, the microphone picks up sounds akin to an aquarium underwater which was kind of a cool twist. The thing is bulky and limits the use of your phone functions so don't go in thinking its an everyday case but if you want to take awesome underwater pictures without an expensive underwater camera this thing is a must have to turn your excellent iPhone camera into an underwater memory maker!

good
has the same problem than all housings. after a while the heat of the camera start condensation on the lens. tricl is to turn camera off but the iphone screen then blocks and you can not get back to camera mode

Doesn't work
Unfortunately the phone gets hot in the waterproof case and it fogs up the lens so when you are snorkling or diving the pictures do not come out clear like I would have hoped.

it's watertight but controls don't work that well
definitely works for keeping your phone dry. i wanted to use my phone instead of my GoPro because of the live view feature but the controls aren't as good as they should be. you're pretty much stuck w/ either taking pics OR taking videos once you've submerged it. the controller case buttons don't allow you to switch like you would if your phone wasn't in the case. can't really open the case and change underwater. you can still do both...you just have to keep going back to the beach/boat to change settings.

Excellent!
Really good product, the only drawback is you cant use it too long as phone gets too hot inside and it will affect pictures. However, if you only need to take few pictures or short video it works great. Took it to swim with Manatees and made great shots underwater.

great case
Someone needs to develop a blue-tooth strobe to connect to your phone so you can have a flash. Also, there needs to be a way to dismiss the low battery warning. Otherwise it works great.

Leaked on the first dive!
Got this housing as a birthday present.Did the waterproof test as instructed - worked fine. The case survived two long snorkelling trips, but the first time I took it diving, it started leaking - at only 6m depth - at that point there was not so much that could be done to rescue the phone. No pictures, no more iphone..

Works as advertised
Bought this for my son's scuba diving trips. Only used once down to 110 ft. No evidence of leaks. Great pics with his iPhone 5 regardless of depth. Able to change from photo to video underwater. Drains the battery so make sure your phone is fully charged before diving. On the second dive, however, the phone's lens fogged up. Rather than the case itself, I believe it happened because my son kept opening the cover in between dives to show pics. I would recommend fInishing ALL your diving before opening the case unless you need to recharge batteries.
